WHY THE BIRDS ALWAYS SING

In nature there is a reason for why everything the way it is. There is a reason for why the birds always sing. Listen and learn from the story about Singalot.
There once lived this young teenage girl named Singalot. This girl lived in a far away village were everybody knew each other. Singalot had a beautiful voice. Everyone loved to hear her sing. She used to sing everyday at the tavern in the village. Not only was she a good singer, but she was also one of the most prettiest women ever to live. Her mom used to call her Apollo because Apollo was the god of music. Singalot was very proud of herself, which was a bad thing. Singalot thought she should be a god, instead of Apollo. One night she prayed to the gods to send Apollo to her to see who should be the real god of music.
"I told the people of the town what I had prayed for", said Singalot. The people thought I was turning crazy. Singalot said," some people had told me it was a good idea". "The god Apollo was to arrive on my birthday to challenge me", Singalot said excitingly. Everyone waited anxiously. "I prepared by singing a lot of songs and taking care of my throat for my birthday", claimed Singalot. "Finally the day arrived, it was my birthday", she said. "I dressed all nice and put on make-up", said Singalot to the people while waiting for Apollo. Singalot said," I grabbed all the songs I was going to sing and then went to the tavern". "I was very confident I was going to win".
"I waited in the tavern until midnight and Apollo didn't arrive". "I then began to curse the gods", Singalot yelled angrily. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere a bright light appeared. It was Apollo and he said Singalot should pay for cursing the gods. Apollo said," I will show you why I'm the god of music". Singalot was still confident she would win. Singalot sang first."I sang for a day". "Most of my songs were making fun of the god Apollo and the gods", said Singalot. "I think I sounded more beautiful than ever". Then it was Apollo's turn.
Before Apollo started to sing he said something to Singalot. "You will pay for making fun of the gods and me", said Apollo. Apollo said ,"I began to sing a very beautiful song and the people started to love me". Singalot was put to shame, but respected by the people for trying to sing against Apollo. "I am not done with you", Apollo said. Apollo had said," it is time to punish you for your wrong doing Singalot". "I will turn you into a chirping bird since you love to sing so much". I have also decided to take some mercy on you and give the best looks a chirping bird could have even though you do not deserve that much. Singalot said ," I was thankful that my life wasn't taken away from me and I was blessed with the best looks a bird could ever have". "I learned my lesson", Singalot had told.
Singalot learned to never challenge the gods again. The people in the town never tried to challenge the gods ever since they saw what happened to Singalot. Every year the town would get together and pay respect to Singalot because her human life had been taken away from her. Singalot was never permitted to come to the town again or see the people again. These people also told this story to town they visited or people they saw. This story was passed down from generation to generation. The mother was grieved because Singalot's human life had been taken away from her and she missed Singalot. Then the mother started to curse the god Apollo, which was a big mistake. Apollo came back down and killed the mother. The lesson to be learned from this is don't ever mock the gods or there will be a penalty.
