**UPDATED 1/2004**

I bought this Super Coupe in July 2000, and because I'm on a budget I bought someone else's restoration (partially disassembled). The good news was that it was solid and would give me an opportunity to restore it at my leisure, and I didn't have to bash my knuckles pulling it apart.

This is what the car looked like. No accidents, or rot (a lot of dirt and surface rust under the car, but I pressure-washed it). The framerails, notorious for rusting out, were solid, as were the trunk and fenders. The passenger side floor was a little "iffy" from the heater which leaked when it rained (I'm guessing) and the firewall needed a small patch where the heater motor stuck out into the engine bay. Inner fenders were fine (whew). It definitely needed some bodywork (some dings and surface rust) and paint, but the photo speaks for itself- she was a solid, genuine A67 code Volare. All the spoilers, louvers, fender flares and trim were still with the car. The bad news was: the floor, headliner and package tray were covered in ugly red "shag" carpet. The seats were another color and the console (from a Mirada) was put in loose, because the shifter brackets were removed. The rear speaker shelf had been cut out (???), the tranny and shifter were gone, the original wheels and gas cap were gone (groan!). The E58 block was removed but was with the car, I had a set of 318 heads and an 4 bbl intake (manifolds and exhaust were missing). I'll put this on a stand and do my first engine rebuild (with the help of "How to Rebuild your Small Block Mopar"). It has 58,000 original miles (it's been off the road for years) and the engine looks pretty good inside.

The rear end had no shocks, but she doesn't sag, so the leaf springs are still good. Lucky for me someone else went through the trouble of starting to dismantle her.
