9-11 Message from MAMMA's CEO

Dear Visitor,

How familiar are you with the concept embodied by the phrase: "Oh! what a difference a day makes!"? Within a matter of minutes, on 9-11-01, the life of every person in America, possibly in the whole world, was impacted, some more profoundly than others, and altered by an 'evil' act, perpetrated and orchestrated by a relatively small number of 'evil' people. In January of 1993, my life, like a growing number of others, was profoundly impacted and altered in a similar fashion by individuals serving(?) in the military and it's time for some accountability.

The military has admitted to having a 'Suicide' problem, but they vehemently deny having a 'Homicide' problem. You are currently at the site of MAMMA's woebegone efforts to divert attention from any ONE case and get it focused on 'the many' that constitute the core of the proof that the military has a 'homicide' problem. Sadly, most of the cases mentioned, here, are languishing because, quite frankly, the families are worn out! (These situations equate nicely with the plight of an abused child from a prominent family.)

To support the claim, that the military has a 'Homicide' problem and are actively engaged in a massive “cover up”, I submit, for your consideration, the following points of reference:

Geberth, M.S., M.P.S., a former Commander of Bronx Homicide, NYPD. As you read this, please bear in mind that following Mr. Geberth's efforts, the 'official' ruling of Capt. Hess' death was temporarily changed from 'Suicide' to 'Undetermined' and subsequently reverted back to 'Suicide'. Hopefully, you can appreciate the frustration that stems from this prime example of what we, here at MAMMA, refer to as “The Military Twist”.

Isn't there something wrong with the 'picture' of 'accountability' when, after 5 years of 'assuring' everyone (and his brother) that there had been 'thorough' investigations, to suddenly admit that there'd NEVER been an investigation, but claim that it doesn't matter? What happened to 'Truth, Justice and the American Way'?

Dave Grossman, who speaks quite frankly about the military's development and implementation of a program that was designed to 'UP' the military's 'KILL' ratio by circumventing the mind's 'governing' unit that prohibits people from killing one another and that he labeled "Killology". Given the fact that we, here at MAMMA, maintain that the majority of the military's 'Homicide' & 'Suicide' problems are the direct result of the 'failed' safeguards of this program, isn't it interesting that Lt. Col. Grossman, in true military containment fashion, identifies 'Killology' in our schools and then simply changes the 'label' from “Killology” to “a Virus of Violence”? This is 'classic' of the previously mentioned practice of the 'Military Twist' and people had best start using some good old fashion 'common sense'. Try thinking in terms of the relationship between chickenpox and shingles. Could a 'cure' or any effective treatment for 'shingles' exist if any traits of 'chickenpox' had been ignored or deliberately diverted from that equation?

Since 9-11, you know that many things have changed. Sadly, many things have stayed the same and this issue has been exacerbated by the 'resurgence of patriotism', as demonstrated by the rise in recruits. Don't fine young men and women, willing to 'give their all' in the service of our country, 'deserve' better than to be placed 'in harms way'
by the unwarranted situation of 'Reckless Endangerment' that currently awaits them when they join the military? True...no job, in the military, is a safe one. But, shouldn't every measure be taken to ensure that the major 'hazards' of service members' jobs stem from a declared 'enemy'?

I apologize for the length that this 'message' has gotten to be. As you've probably surmised, it's an 'uphill battle' to get people to 'see the forest for the trees'. Because evil can only succeed in the dark, it's imperative that this problem be exposed and remedied! So far, we've only managed to shed a 'glimmer' of light on something that's in need of a floodlight! Any efforts, from you, to 'step up to the plate' with help of any type, including constructive criticism, would be welcomed and appreciated. “Numbers Speak!” Please, consider joining MAMMA and add to a 'Voice' that's saying ENOUGH! We want to welcome you, our visitor, to a site created by and for MAMMA: M+others Aligned for Military & Murder Accountability. While it's true that the site exists because of some pretty "Heavy Stuff"!, we will make every effort to present our material in a manner that is informative but not boring and thought provoking but not overwhelming. When you leave, we would appreciate knowing if our efforts were successful, so...feel free to contact us with any comments or questions you have. MISSION: To stop, or at least seriously curtail, the military's ability to determine and define their own responsibilities and then oversee their own accountability. Our goal is to align efforts that seek redress of military injustices. From border to border and beyond, group after group of concerned patriotic citizens have formed to demand accountability of the military......we believe it's time to heed the adage: "United We Stand....."

MAMMA is a fledgling organization that, like the Phoenix, rose from the ashes that fall after a battle with the military. Founded on the belief that an injustice to one is an injustice for all, we promote the 3 R's:

The people at MAMMA tend to think of society like a piece of woven fabric with each strand playing a vital role in the stability and strength of the entire piece of cloth. While strands that run parallel to each other may not actually be needed, by one another for support, if a stain shows up, all affected fibers need to know the BASE of the stain, in order to deal with it.

After realizing how many groups of people have found the military at the center of "their problem"....MAMMA set a goal for a future where people won't be saying the same thing that the Rev. Martin Niemoeller said in the past: "In Germany they came first for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew......." With AIDS, Gulf War Syndrome, 'Rampage killers' and 'school shooters', this time it could literally be a matter of "no one was left to speak up"! Before you go any further into our site, we ask that you stop and take stock...sort of a Reality Check! While we hope you find our site interesting, we canít emphasize enough, the fact that this material is NOT just a "Story"....like the one that you saw on one TV show or another...rather it is "Real Life Tragedy"!

We were recently reminded of the story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.....There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody would not do it.........It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

There IS an important job that needs to be done: "When Wrong Is Strong, Right MUST Fight!" As you tour our site...drag out your old "thinking cap", dust it off and, with your own family in mind.......THINK! Consider contacting your elected officials and inquire about the advisability of allowing the military such free reign and latitude in being able to decide just what they will or wonít be responsible for and then being allowed to scrutinize their own accountability. Would anyone allow an accounting firm to audit their own accounts and believe the results? While "two heads are better than one"....THIS makes a case for: 'the MORE the merrier' so let us know what you think would work!

EVERYBODY knows that there are 4 Seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, in a year. However, SOME of our visitors can relate to the claim that there are really only 2 seasons: Winter and CONSTRUCTION SEASON! Can you guess which of the two is in full swing around here?
