Ok, so this is how it works. On this page you shall be given a choice of 11 links. 7 correspond to Race links, 3 correspond to Fighting styles, and 1 is the general abilities. Abilities are similar in some ways to attacks. You can learn better abilities on higher levels. Each ability affects your character in a different way.
You need to learn abilities like attacks, it will cost you 100 fp per level for the ability. Therefore, a level 1 ability will cost 100 fp, a level 2 ability 200 fp, and so on.
