Goku is the main character throughout the Dragonball series. He is first seen in the Dragonball series. He lives with an old man named Grandpa Gohan until one day G. Gohan was killed and Goku goes on a adventure with Bulma to find seven Dragonball's. While he was searching for the Dragonball's he meets master Roshi who later on trains him along with Krillin. He later marries Chi Chi and they have a son named Gohan.

In Dragonball Z, Goku learns that he is really a Saiya-jin from the planet Vegeta. His brother Radditz informs Goku that he was sent to earth as a baby to wipe out the human race. Goku didn't complete his task because while he was an infant he had a head injury and forgot about his job to wipe out the earth's population. Radditz takes Goku's son, Gohan, as a hostage. Goku and Piccolo end up fighting Ridditz in order to save Gohan. Goku sacrifices himself to destroy Radditz and in the end, he dies.

While in heaven Goku trained hard for an upcoming battle with two unknown Saiya-jin's. While he was training with King kai, Goku learns a new technique called "Kaio-ken." With his power increased, he goes back to earth (a little late) only to do battle with two new Saiya-jin warriors, Vegeta and Nappa. He easily defeats Nappa and goes on to fight Vegeta, which proves to be a much more difficult battle. In the end, Goku gets beaten when Vegeta turns into his Ozaru form. He is saved when Gohan turns Ozaru and severely injures Vegeta. Right when Krillin was about to kill Vegeta, Goku tells him not to and spares his life.

When Goku finally arrived at Namek, his power was much higher then when he first left for the trip and he easily defeats the elite team called the Ginu force. After he learned what was going on at Namek, he meets the captain of the Ginu squad, Captain Ginu. During their battle, Ginu realizes he is no match for Goku and steals his body. Goku is able to get his body back by tricking Ginu and traps him in the body of a frog. Goku is again severely injured and has to be put in a healing chamber. As soon as he gets out of the healing tank he battles one of his worst enemies, Freeza. After an intense battle, he realizes he is no match for Freeza and uses his trump card… the Genki Dama (spirit Bomb). They all think he is defeated, but they soon find out that he isn't when Freeza kills Krillin. Goku gets so enraged, he turns into a Super Saiya-jin. In the end, Goku defeat's Freeza and barely escapes Planet Namek before it explodes.

Goku was thrown through space and landed on a far away planet called Yardratt. It is there were he learned the Instantaneous Movement technique. Goku eventually came back to earth, and when he does, he meets Future Trunks. That is when he learns Trunks story and about the androids that will arrive in three years. Goku trains hard, and when the androids arrive, he gets the heart attack that F. Trunks told him about. He uses the medicine Trunks gave him and is eventually healed, but by that time there was a new threat… Cell. Goku decides to go into the room of spirit and time and train with Gohan. Under Goku's training, he eventually reaches the SSJ level. When they leave, they rest for a few days before the Cell games.

When the game starts, Goku fights Cell but gives up. He knew that his son Gohan would be strong enough to defeat him and has him challenge Cell. But before Gohan ends up defeating Cell, Goku again sacrifices his life to save the earth. He aids Gohan from heaven and guides him to defeat Cell.

Goku chooses to stay in heaven and competes in the heaven tournament where he comes to a stalemate with another warrior called Pikhan. While in heaven, Goku achieves the SSJ2 level and the SSJ 3 level. Goku is able to come back to earth for a shot time, and while he was there, he met his second son Goten and entered in the Tenkaichi Budoukai Tournament. While in the tournament he notices strange things happening. Later on, he ends up fighting Majin Vegeta. They both were equal in strength at the SSJ 2 level, but Vegeta ended up winning by cheating and knocks Goku out while he wasn't looking.

While Goku was on earth, he was able to fight fat Buu and show off his SSJ 3 form. He didn't want to beat him; all he was doing was giving Trunks enough time to retrieve the Dragonball radar. Before Goku went back to heaven, he taught Goten and Trunks how to do the fusion dance.

While in heaven, Goku watched over what was going on with Buu and the others. During Gohan's fight with Buu, Dai-Kaioshin decides to give his life to Goku so he can go back to earth and fuse with Gohan using the potara earrings. When Goku teleports back to earth, Gohan ends up getting absorbed by Buu so Goku fuses with Vegeta instead. They both form into Vegitto and do battle with Buu. Vegitto is purposely absorbed by Buu so he can rescue everyone who was absorbed by him. The permanent fusion with Vegeta was canceled out when they were absorbed. While they were inside Buu, Goku and Vegeta rescued Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks and in the process saved fat Buu (they don't take Fat Buu with them, but Buu spits him out later on). They all escape through one of Buu's blowholes and magically turn back to their normal size. When they removed Fat Buu, something started to happen to Buu. He turned back to his original form and when Goku and Vegeta challenged him, he destroyed the earth. Kaioshin was able to save Goku, Vegeta, Mr. Satan, and his puppy before the earth was blow away.

They were all transported back to heaven. While they were there, Buu went from planet to planet destroying them one by one killing all life that inhabited it. Goku and Vegeta decide to max their power so Buu would come to them and stop killing innocent people. Buu arrives and Goku is the first to fight. Goku battles hard, but his power starts to run low and he starts to loose. When Vegeta tries to fight him, he sees that he is no match for Buu. Goku saves Vegeta and continues to fight Buu. Then, Mr. Satan interferes with the fight and it is learned that Buu can't seem to harm Satan. Buu solves this problem by spitting out fat Buu (fat Buu was making it so Buu couldn't harm his friend, Mr Satan). Buu starts to fight fat Buu giving Vegeta and Goku a chance to devise a plan.

Vegeta comes up with the plan to use the Dragonball's to revive on earth, and all the people who were killed by Buu. His plan was for Goku to use a huge Genki Dama from the energy gathered from the people of earth and destroy Buu. After the wishes were made, Goku started to gather the energy to make the huge Genki Dama, but he was having a hard time convincing the people on earth to give up their energy. But when Mr. Satan asked everyone to raise their hands and give their energy, they did because they trusted him. After the energy was collected, Goku released the Genki Dama straight at Buu. But Goku's energy was low and he couldn't destroy Buu with it. As Buu started to push the Genki Dama back at Goku, Dende used the last wish from the Dragonball's and asked for Goku's strength to be returned. After he was healed, Goku easily destroyed Buu. Right before Buu's death, Goku wished that he would come back as a good guy so he could see who was really stronger.

Ten years later, Goku entered another Tenkaichi Budoukai tournament and tells everyone he has been watching someone with a great power. When they picked the numbers to see who would battle who, Goku had fat Buu rig the numbers so Goku would fight a young boy names Ubuu. Later on it is found out that Ubuu is actually the reincarnated Buu. In the middle of the tournament after he fought Ubuu, Goku leaves to train him

In Dragonball GT, Goku is turned into a child and goes on an adventure to find the black star Dragonball's with Trunks, and his granddaughter Pan. Once they return from their adventure, they find out that Bebi has been on a rampage while they were gone. Goku ends up reaching the SSJ 4 form and defeats Bebi. After his fight with Bebi, he meets up with some of his old enemy's, Dr. Gero and Android 17. Dr. Mu Creates another 17 and the two 17's fuse becoming Super 17. With the help of 18, Goku defeats 17 with a dragon punch.

Shortly after, Goku finds out that the Dragonball are starting to crack. Seven evil Shenlong's appear and Goku and his crew fight them one by one. In the end, Goku absorbs the Dragonball's and flies off on the eternal Dragon.

Techniques

Bukujutsu: The ability to fly with one's ki.

Fusion: This technique is used to fuse two people into a single person, and give the fused person a huge power boost. Anyone can do the Fusion, but you have the same power as whoever you fuse with, and you must learn the correct pose and form. It's easy to make a mistake and fuse into something far weaker though. The Fusion lasts for 30 minutes before the fused person becomes two again.

Genki Dama: A large ball of energy gathered from nature, humans, etc., which lend you their energy.

Shunkanido: The user places two fingers on his forehead, searches for a Ki he wants to go to, then when he finds it, can teleport there.

Jan-Ken Punch: A Japanese game identical to that of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Goku then has three different types of Jan-Ken Punches.

Kaioken: This is primarily a power-up move. When Goku uses this technique, he flares up and gains a large boost to his speed and power. Goku can also use multiplied power to his Kaioken.

Kamehameha: It is a Ki blast, which to start is charged up held behind the firer in cupped hands, then brought forward to release a large blast of energy

Kiaiho: An invisible force attack that knocks one's opponent back. It can be shot either from an open palm or from the eyes.

Kienzan: It is a flat, disc-shaped Ki blast, which can be used to slice through its target with deadly accuracy.

Zanzoken: The user can move so fast he leaves an after-image, while attacking from another standpoint.

Gohan is the first son of Goku. He is half Saiya-jin and half Human. In the beginning of DBZ, Gohan is a bookworm and doesn't know anything about fighting. His mother Chichi refuses to let him be trained by Goku and wants Gohan to be a scholar.

One day Goku met up with his brother Radditz. Radditz asked Goku to join him and when Goku refused, Radditz kidnapped Gohan. Radditz held him in his space pod while he fought Goku and Piccolo. Gohan saw his father getting hurt and showed that he had great power. He broke through the space pod and head butted Radditz in the chest breaking his armor and sending him to the ground in pain. Goku and Radditz were killed during the fight and before Radditz died, he told Piccolo that two Saiya-jin warriors would arrive on earth in about a year, and they were even stronger then him. Piccolo saw the great potential in Gohan and decided to train him for the fight.

As Piccolo trained Gohan, his abilities grew as the year progressed. By the time the Saiya-jin's showed up, Gohan was ready for battle. Nappa was the first Saiya-jin to fight and he quickly killed most of the Z team. Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin were the only three left in the end. During one of the attacks that Piccolo had planned out, Gohan became too scared and ran. Nappa was about to kill Gohan, but Piccolo saved his life buy jumping in front of the ki blast (Piccolo died). When Goku finally showed up, Gohan was about to be squashed like a bug under Nappa foot. He saved both Krillin and Gohan and easily beat Nappa. He started to fight Vegeta and told Gohan and Krillin to go home so they wouldn't get hurt.

On their way back, Gohan decided to return to the battle. When he arrived, Goku was in serious trouble. Vegeta had turned Ozaru and was crushing Goku to death. Eventually, Yajarobi saved him by cutting off Vegeta's tail. Vegeta now had his attention set on Gohan and Krillin.

After Gohan's battle with Vegeta, it seemed Vegeta would win until Goku told him to look up and the artificial moon that Vegeta made. Gohan turned to Ozaru and beat the $hit out of Vegeta. At the last minute, Vegeta cut off Gohan's tail and Gohan fell to the ground unconscious.

Gohan returned back home, until they decided to go to Namek and use their Dragonball's to revive their fallen friends. Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma were going to make the trip to Namek. One the way there they met up with a group of people whose planet had been taken over by an evil tyrant named Freeza. They were also tricked into thinking that they landed on Namek, when they actually landed on an astroid and almost got their spacecraft stolen.

When they finally make it to Namek, they find out that Freeza is already there and is searching for the Dragonball's. Gohan, Bulma and Krillin stay out of site until Gohan sees a young Namek (Dende) about to be killed by Dodoria. He saves his life then flees. Gohan and Krillin end up getting two Dragonball's, but Vegeta steals one of them.

Later on, the Ginu Force steals all of the Dragonball's and Gohan fights Recoom. After a heated battle, Gohan looses. Goku shows up just in time and saves his life. After Goku takes care of the Ginu Force, Gohan and Krillin go back to Freeza space ship to retrieve the Dragonball's. Once they get there, they collect all seven and wait For Goku. When he arrives, they learn that Ginu has taken over Goku's body and both Krillin and Gohan fight him. After Goku's body is returned, Gohan watches Vegeta fight Freeza. Later on in the battle, it appears that Krillin was killed by Freeza, and in an enraged anger, Gohan launches a full on assault and sends Freeza a devastating ki blast.

Through the rest of the Freeza battle, Gohan watches from the sidelines until Dende wishes him back to earth. Everything is peaceful on earth until a mysterious person shows up (Trunks) and everyone finds out that in three years 2 androids will come and terrorize the earth. Gohan trains with Piccolo and Goku for the three years, but when the time comes to fight them, he is much weaker then the rest of the Z team.

Later after the fight with the androids and before the Cell games, Gohan goes into the room of spirit and time with Goku and achieves the Super Saiya-jin level. While in the room, Goku sees that Gohan has an intense power that even he has not reached.

During the Cell fight, Goku gives up his battle and chooses Gohan as Cell's next opponent. Everyone is shocked that Goku chooses Gohan. When Gohan started the fight, he proved he could hold his own, but was still no march for Cell. After Cell destroyed 16, Gohan's dormant powers were let loose and he was the first to achieve the Super Saiya-jin 2 level. After proving that he was stronger then Cell, Gohan wanted to toy with him a little bit, but made a serious mistake in doing so. In order not to loose, Cell started to self-destruct, but Goku sacrificed his life by teleporting Cell off of the earth. But Cell didn't die and telepored right back to earth. Gohan was injured when he tried to protect Vegeta from an immense blast from Cell, and it seemed a huge Kamehameha that Cell was powering up would destroy him. Gohan basically gave up until Goku spoke to him from heaven. With Goku guidance, Gohan was able to destroy Cell with a Kamehameha attack of his own.

After the fight with Cell, there was peace on earth. Goku was now the older brother to Goten, and he was attending Orange Star High School in Satan City. While attending school, a strange hero called "The Golden Haired Warrior" was showing up and fighting crime. Of course it was Gohan; he was turning Super Saiya-jin so no one would notice him. But Gohan was still afraid that someone from school would notice him, so he had Bulma make him a special suit that he kept in a capsule. He now fought crime known as the Saiya-man.

Another Budoukai tournament was being held, and Gohan decided to enter under the guise of Saiya-man. During the fight, his good friend (and soon to be wife) Videl was badly injured by Sopobitcha. Gohan was about to fight Kibit in the tournament, but it was interrupted when Sopobitcha and his friend absorbed Gohan's power. It turns out that Babi-dee had his henchmen steal Gohan's power to resurrect Majin Buu.

Gohan tries his hardest to stop Babi-dee from awakening Buu, but he can't stop it. Buu awakens and attacks Gohan. It is thought that Gohan was killed, but he wasn't. Kibit and Kaioshin were training him. While he was being trained, Gohan was able to pull out the Zed Sword. They wanted to see how strong the blade was, so Goku threw the strongest know material at Gohan, and he hit the metal with the sword, but the sword broke. When the sword was destroyed, Dia Kaioshin was released. He tells them he has been trapped in the sword and when they broke it, he was released. With a special technique, Dia Kaioshin releases Gohan's hidden power giving birth to Mystic Gohan. The power-up gave him the power of around the Super Saiya-jin 3 level without having to change into a super Saiya-jin.

With his new power, he goes back to earth and fights Super Buu. Super Buu is no match for him, until Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo. Buu is much more powerful and a lot smarter since he absorbed Piccolo. Gohan was no match for him and was absorbed by Buu. Gohan got saved by Vegeta and Goku, but died shortly after when the earth was destroyed. He is brought back to life when Vegeta has the Namek's use the Dragonball's to revive everyone who was killed by Buu.

Ten years later, Gohan is married to Videl and has a daughter named Pan. He is a scholar and has pretty much giving up training. In DBGT, Gohan is able to turn Super Saiya-jin but it is never explained why.

Did you know?

  • Gohan means meal or rice.

  • Gohan had the ability to become the most powerful person in the DBZ series, but never did because he didn't like fighting.

  • Gohan was going to be the main character after the Cell saga, but Goku was kept because they feared they would loose viewers.

Goten was born a few months after the Cell Saga when Goku died. Since goku was dead, he was solely raised by Chi Chi and Gohan. He learned his martial arts from his mother and fighting with Trunks, his best friend. Trunks was learning from Vegeta, so Goten got a mixture of styles from both Chi-Chi and Vegeta.

Growing up without a father was hard on Goten. His older brother Gohan only studied and never trained. Despite this, he secretly learned martial arts from his mother Chi-Chi. A lot of his training consisted of fighting his best friend Trunks. Goten was a very powerful young child, being able to go Super Saiya-jin by the age of seven.

When Goku told Gohan that he would be coming back to Earth to the upcoming Budoukai, Gohan decided to enter and fight to win the money. Since he hadn't trained in a while, Gohan asked Goten to help him train. They started out training reflexes. Gohan piled a bunch of rocks in a pile and asked Goten to throw them at him. Goten picked up a stone and threw it, but Gohan was not expecting it to come so fast and barely dodged even in his Super Saiya-jin form. Because of Goten's speed, Gohan moved him way back and then had him throw some more stones. After a while, Goten asked Gohan if he could "change like him." Not knowing that Goten could do it, he told him it was too advanced. To his amazement, Goten then transformed into a Super Saiya-jin. Gohan asked Goten if he wanted to spar and Goten agreed. They began to spar and it was an amazing battle until Gohan flew up into the air. Goten yelled at him that it wasn't fair because he couldn't fly. Gohan thought it was amazing that Goten could turn Super Saiya-jin and couldn't fly.

A few minutes later, Videl showed up at Gohan's house. Since Gohan had promised to teach Videl the art of Buku-Jutsu (flying), he decided to teach Goten as well. Goten learned very quickly and continued to train with Gohan until the day of the Budoukai.

When the day of the tournament arrived, Goten was shy when he first saw Goku. After Chi-Chi told Goten that Goku was his father, Goten gave him a big hug. Later, Goten finds out that he and Trunks have to fight in the children's division instead of with the adults. Goten says that if he wins he will buy candy and toys. ^_^

Later that day, Goten finally faces off against his first opponent: Ikose. He easily makes quick work of Ikose, as well as all his other opponents. Trunks does the same and the two boys face off against each other in the finals.

The battle between the two heated up quickly. Everyone in the crowd was amazed at the fight. Beforehand, they had both agreed not to turn Super Saiya-jin, but they both did during the fight. Goten ended up accidently touching out of bounds and losing, but Trunks promised to give him some toys so Goten was happy.

After Trunks beat Satan in the final battle, he had a great idea to compete in the adult round so him and Goten could have some real competition. They found a fighter that worse a costume known as Mighty Mask, knocked him out and stole his costume. In order for both of them to be able to fight, Goten had to hold Trunks on his shoulders. They fight through a couple of competitors, but since Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and everyone else left to find Majin Buu, Goten and Trunks face off against Android #18 in the final match. After a short while, she caught on to what the boys were doing and shot a ki blast straight at them. To dodge, Trunks went right and Goten went left. This caused their cover to be blown and 18 won the competition.

Trunks and Goten didn't take defeat well but decided to follow after their fathers to fight Majin Buu. They didn't arrive on the scene until Majin Buu had already been released and Vegeta was fighting him. They hid in the rocks with Piccolo until it looked to Trunks like Vegeta was about to be killed. The boys intervened and saved Vegeta, but when Vegeta woke up he knocked them both out.

After Vegeta died from honor, Piccolo carried Goten and Trunks back to Kami's palace where they rested. When they woke up the next day, Goku was there to teach them the Natamoru Fusion Dance. The two boys practiced for days even after Goku left, and finally succeeded in fusing into Gotenks. After this, Goten as an individual doesn't play much of a role in the rest of the Buu fight except for giving Goku his energy for the Genki Dama at the end.

Ten years later, Goten is a growing teenage boy. Toriyama began drawing his hair short as to not look as much like Goku. The next Tenkaichi Budoukai is coming up and Goku tells Goten that he has to compete. Goten trains with Goku but is worn out easily, showing that he hadn't been training much. He had been more focused on girls over the years.

When the day of the tournament comes, Goten is up to fight Buu first. He complains, but Goku tells him that he should have been training instead of focusing on girls. If he had, he could easily beat Buu by now. This is where Z ends for Goten, because we don't get to see him fight Buu.

Several years later in GT, Goten is still the same way as before: only focused on girlfriends. When Baby comes, he isn't strong enough to fight him off and gets taken captive. He only plays several minor roles throughout GT that aren't really worth mentioning.

Techniques

Bukujutsu: The ability to fly with one's ki.

Energy Dan: The user of this technique shoots ki bolts continuously from his hands.

Fusion: The Natamoru art of combining two bodies with similar physique and power. The two people become one new person with it's own attitude and style.

Kamehameha: It is a Ki blast, which to start is charged up held behind the firer in cupped hands, then brought forward to release a large blast of energy.

KameKameha: This is really just a KameHameHa, but during the budoukai Goten yells KameKameHa when firing the blast. ^_^;

Zanzoken: The user can move so fast he leaves an after-image, while attacking from another standpoint.

Did you know?

  • Because Goten was a spitting image of Goku, Toriyama drew the older Goten with short hair so fan's could tell the difference.

Trunks was the lone survivor of the entire Saiya-jin race during his timeline. After the twin androids killed all the remaining Z Warriors, Trunks was left to fight them on his own.

While Trunks was still young, he had his master and best friend Gohan train him. Gohan taught him to fight, but his main goal was turning him Super Saiya-jin. Although Trunks got quite close quite a few times during training, he never could reach the Super Saiya-jin state. One day, as Trunks and Gohan are sitting on a rock, the Androids attack a nearby town. Trunks asked Gohan if he could go help him fight, but Gohan knocked him out and flew off to fight the Androids alone.

When Trunks woke up, he flew off in search of Gohan. Flying through the ruins of the attacked city, Trunks eventually finds Gohan's dead body and realizes that the Androids killed his best friend. Through a surge of extreme rage and emotion, Trunks finally reaches the legendary Super Saiya-jin state.

Three years later, Trunks is a teenager and apparently has been training. While helping his mom carry in the groceries, he hears a news report of the Androids. He decides that it's time he finished them off for good, so he flew off to fight them. Once he finds the Androids, he appears to get the upper-hand at first, but he soon finds out that his stamina could not compete with the Androids and they leave him after severely beating him up, thinking he's dead.

Waking up in the hospital, Trunks decided that the only way he could defeat the Androids was to go back in time using his mother's Time Machine to get advice from Goku. After he becomes well, he blasts off in the Time Machine to visit the Legendary Goku.

After Goku defeated Furiza on Planet Namek, Furiza's father finds him and with the help of his top scientists, rebuilds his torn apart son. They quickly plot a course to Earth to finish off Goku and the rest of the Z warriors. Upon arrival, the first warrior they meet up with is a mysterious youth that claims he's going to defeat Furiza for good. Furiza shrugs off this mysterious character and tells his henchmen to take care of him. The first one shoots some ki blasts that are easily deflected by the Youth. In a few flashes of his sword, the Mysterious character makes short work of Furiza's goons. Furiza watches on.

The Youth claims again that it's Furiza's turn to die, and Furiza only laughs. Then he claims that he's going to show Furiza and his Father what a real Super Saiya-jin is. To Furiza's horror, the youth transforms into the legendary form. Furiza wastes no time and fires a ki blast at the Warrior which is easily blocked. The Youth tells Furiza that he has 2 more chances, then it's 3 strikes you're out. Furiza gives it all he's got, all of which the Warrior easily blocks and deflects. To Furiza's surprise, the Warrior appears behind him with his sword drawn, chopping Furiza to pieces. He then makes quick work of Furiza's father.

Trunks calls to the other Z warriors who had been watching on in amazement, and tells them that he is waiting for Goku and they all fly off to the spot where the stranger claims Goku will return. They wait for 2 hours and Goku finally arrives, crashing down in a space pod. When Goku comes out, he asks who defeated Furiza and the Z warriors introduce him to the Mystery character. Goku claims that he's never met him, and the Youth asks Goku to talk to him in private. They fly to a different part of the desert, and the Warrior asks Goku to go Super Saiya-jin. After Goku does so, the Youth also goes Super Saiya-jin. After a quick test, the Youth introduces himself as Trunks, the warrior from the future. Trunks tells Goku of the evil androids and gives Goku the antidote to the disease he'll get. After some quick goodbye's, Trunks flies off in his time capsule.

Three years later, when Trunks returns, the Androids had already started their assault on a small island. Trunks thinks that they had beaten Goku but he picks up some ki and flies off hoping that it's the battle still going on. When he arrives to the location, he finds the head of Android 19 that Vegeta had defeated, and he becomes worried because the Androids now are different than the one's in his timeline. He flies off to find the current battle. When he arrives, he accidently causes a distraction and allows Android 20 to use an explosion to escape. Bulma and chibi Trunks were in danger, and Trunks saved them instead of Vegeta.

Trunks notes that his father didn't even try to save his son or Bulma. Instead, Vegeta flies off to search for Dr. Gero (Android 20) and Trunks decides to follow him. They search for a while with the help of the other Z warriors, and Kuririn finally spots the entrance to Dr. Gero's Lab. They all stand and watch as Dr. Gero releases 2 new Androids, Androids 17 and 18. Trunks recognises these as the ones in his timeline, and blasts inside the lab to try to destroy them, but to no avail. Vegeta starts to battle #18 and Trunks and the other Warriors stand back and watch. Once Vegeta starts getting hurt, Trunks jumps in and is easily batted away. After the battle is over, Kuririn revives them all with Senzu beans.

Later, when flying in a capsule plane, Bulma faxes over a picture of what appears to be Trunks' Time Machine. Disturbed by this, Trunks and Gohan fly off to search for it.

When they arrive and find the Time Machine, Trunks realizes that it is his, but he still has the one he used in a capsule. This puzzles them greatly, until Gohan finds an egg in the time machine. Close by, they find the shell of a monster that had evidently outgrown his skin. They leave and fly back to Kame House.

After Goku wakes up from his illness, he tells everyone about the Room of Spirit and Time. Vegeta and Trunks are the first to use the room, and they train for 1 whole year in the room, but only 1 day passes on earth. When they emmerge, they both announce that they have surpassed Super Saiya-jin. They fly off to fight Cell. Trunks watches as Vegeta fights and appears to defeat Cell. But because of Vegeta's stupid mistake, Cell absorbs #18 and becomes perfect. Vegeta is soon beaten to unconsciousness and Trunks decides to step in.

He tells Cell that he is stronger than his father was, and proceeds to transform to a form even higher than Vegeta had. Cell notes that Trunks is more powerful than he is, and they commence to fighting. Trunks soon realizes that even though he is more powerful than Cell, he is slower and cannot defeat him so he gives up. Cell was about to kill Trunks, but then asks him if he allowed them more time, could they get stronger. Trunks answers yes, so Cell let's him go. Trunks and Vegeta re-enter the time chamber after Goku and Gohan are finished with it.

Trunks watches during the cell games, but never fights cell again. When cell releases his Cell Jr.s, Trunks fights one and holds his own against it. After Gohan defeats cell and Goku transports himself and Cell to King Kaio's planet where cell blows up, when cell returns Trunks is killed. After the whole battle, Trunks is revived by the Dragonball's and goes back to his timeline the next day.

Arriving back at his timeline, Trunks first defeats and kills the two evil twin androids. He remembers that he still has to defeat Cell, so he trains for 3 years until Cell finally arrives. Trunks uses his ki to throw Cell up in the air and they fly to a different location to fight. Cell is amazed at how powerful Trunks is, and Trunks easily defeates and kills Cell. He then lives happily ever after.

Chibi Trunks was born right before Android's 19 and 20 first attacked. He grows up in a different world than Mirai Trunks so his attitude is slightly different. He has more of his father's personality. He trained with Vegeta and sparred with Goten during the seven years Goku was gone. One day, while training, Trunks turns Super Saiya-jin and Vegeta marvels at this. During the Tenkachi Budoukai, Trunks battles his way to the top of the Children's Division and faces off against Goten in the finals. They were almost equal in power but Trunks was just a little stronger and wins by turning Super Saiya-jin.

Since Trunks was around his father more, he had a sort of mischevious personality that often rubbed off on Goten. Because they both wanted to fight in the Adult division, they beat up Mighty Mask and stole his costume so noone would know it was them. They battled against #18 in the finals and once she realized who they were, she fires a blast that they both dodge in different directions, tearing up the costume and revealing them for who they were. After that, they fly off to watch the Majin Buu fight. When Trunks sees the Piccolo statue, he taps it, knocking it over and breaking it. When he sees that his dad is in danger, he flies in and kicks Majin Buu. Vegeta hugs Trunks and tells him he loves him, then knocks him and Goten out and tells Piccolo to take them away. When Trunks wakes up, he's in Kami Palace and hears that his father is dead.

Goku teaches Trunks and Goten the Fusion dance, and after he leaves, Piccol continues to train them and puts them in the Room of Spirit and Time. When Super Buu arrives, Piccolo stalls as long as he can, but eventually leads Super Buu into the Room of Spirit and Time to fight Trunks and Goten. Once fused, they become one of the most powerful beings in all DragonBall.

Quite a few years later, Trunks becomes the CEO of Capsule Corporation, but doesn't like the pressures of an office job. When Goku is turned into a child, they decide to search the galaxy for the black star Dragonball's, and Vegeta makes Trunks go.

Trunks, Goku, and Pan have many adventures together in space, and Trunks turns out to be a responsible young man in the end.

Techniques

Bukujutsu: The ability to fly with one's ki.

Burning Attack: Very flashy and sometimes powerful attack Trunks uses. There's a wierd hand motion before he fires the blast out of a cup he makes with his hands.

Kamehameha: It is a Ki blast, which to start is charged up held behind the firer in cupped hands, then brought forward to release a large blast of energy.

Masenko: This is Gohan's trademark technique. He powers up energy over his head with both of his hands, one palm behind the other, then brings his hands down in front of him to fire the blast at the opponent.

Zanzoken: The user can move so fast he leaves an after-image, while attacking from another standpoint.
