Cobberitaville Hymnbook

In our time together, music has always been everywhere we've gone from bars to weddings to concerts and all points in between.  Some of these songs were modified from their original version (as we add our own clever lyrics!).

In an effort to summarize Jorge in the verse of a song, Mad Dog kicked this one out...(written by Jay Koski and Melissa Gussiaas)
"How George Neiffer Feels..."
(sung to the tune of Kenny Chesney's "How Forever Feels.")

I wear shit kickers to my morning classes
I cover up my eyebrow with a pair of glasses
I drive shiny red Cavalier
I like to swing from a chandalier

Oh now I know how George Neiffer feels!

The Monkey's graduation present to the rest of the Team was the incriminating video compilation backed by the Green Day hit..

"Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to do.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

We are each others friends in low places...
"Friends in Low Places"
'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh I've got friends in low places
Drew and Alanbama did a little on site lyric editing to the Toby Keith song at his Triple-O We-Fest concert
"A Little Less Talk and a lot more Action (BEER)"
A little less talk
A lot more drinkin
Let's get on down to the main attraction
With a little less talk and a lot more BEER
Get on down to the main attraction
With a little less talk and a lot more BEER
Who doesn't think of Borrowed Buck's Roadhouse whenever they play this?
"My Maria"
There were some blue and sorrow times
Just my thoughts about you bring back my peace of mind
Gypsy lady
You're a miracle work for me
You set my soul free like a ship sailing on the sea
She is the sunlight when the skies are grey
She treats me so right lady take me away
My Maria
This song is all about Johnson's Drunken Barn Dance in Hunter, North Dakota!
"Cadillac Ranch"
Now we call it the cadillac ranch
They're parking cars in the old feed patch
There's a bar in the barn and the place stays packed
'Til the cows come home at cadillac ranch
Well we gave all the cows away
Now the only horns around here today
Are the ones up on the grill
Of a genuine fifty-nine coupe DeVille
We'll never forget the wedding song of the Neiffer wedding!
"From This Moment On.."
From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on
I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you
The all-time classic theme song the Mad Dogg.  It'll be played at his funeral
"Margaritaville"
I blew out my flip flop,                                         Stepped on a pop top;
Cut my heel, had to cruise on back home.
But there's booze in the blender,
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on.
The song is actually "Summer of `69" but `99 is more topical for us climaxing at Cornstock and going are kind of seperate ways!
"Summer of `99"
Oh when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
Oh and if I had my choice
Yeah I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life
