I watched Michael Portillo on TV last night as he took the place of a single mother for a week. And I must admit, the guy went right up in my estimations.

Now you have to remember that this man has no kids of his own and normally has no need to worry about money. But he was thrown in at the deep end and given 4 children and £79 for the week. And although he made a couple of mistakes I think he did bloody well. In fact I think all MP's ought to be made to live in the real world for a while and let them see how 'lucky' we proles are.

Regarding the ongoing furore over Ian Duncan Smith employing his wife. I can't see the problem. We only have to look at Robin 'the russet ferret' Cook, to understand why MP's' wives insist on doing the work of secretaries and personal assistants.

David Blunkett MP is still banging on about ID cards. Not only will they be compulsory, but he also wants to charge us £40 for the 'privilege' of owning one. The man is blind in more ways than one. All that ID cards will do is give the forgers of the world something else to make money with. I really wish he would stop treating society as a bunch of criminals-in-waiting.

And has no one pointed out to him that the 'terrorists' who carried out the September 11th atrocities all carried forged ID cards.

The Story so far

Monday 13th October 2003

It's 01:15 am and I'm having a great deal of trouble sleeping. Nothing new there, except that this time it isn't physical pain that is keeping me awake.

No, this time I'm awake because someone whom I considered to be a friend has really pissed me off.

Before I explain, let me ask you a question. How do you define friendship? What is the difference between a friend, and an acquaintance?

To me, a friend is someone whom I can call on in the wee small hours of the morning and I know that they'll give me a bed for the night. No questions asked. A friend is someone who'll take the blame or a bullet for you. A friend is someone who will sit and listen as you cry your heart out and won't bother giving their opinion unless it's asked for. And a friend does all these things because he or she knows that you would do exactly the same.

An acquaintance is someone you know in the pub or in the street who'll fix your plumbing or your car, because then you'll owe him or her a favour sometime.

And it hurt's like a bastard when you realise that your friend is little more than an acquaintance.

So who's pissed on my chips? Well, I'll explain.

For the past two and a half years I've been suffering, as regular readers will know, with a crippling back injury. And it has taken me about two of those years to actually get my GP to realise that I'm not just swinging the lead. Anyone that knows me or who has employed me will tell you that I was one of the hardest workers that they have known. But for the past 2.5 years my injuries are just causing me more and more pain.

It has got to the point where it takes me an hour after waking just to get my body moving. After a nights sleep I awake to locked shoulders and neck. Sudden movements cause my spine to trap nerves. I find that my left ankle locks into position through doing nothing more rigorous than walking to the kitchen.

And then your friend, who has been watching you slowly go down hill for two years turns around and says that it is all self-inflicted. What a total wanker.

I hope some slut gives him the clap. Then he'll know what self-inflicted is.

I can count my friends on one hand. One less isn't going to make that much difference.

Talking of Friends here's a nice biblical tale about man's best friend from Dogstory.net

It is reported that the following edition of the Book of Genesis was discovered in the Dead Seal Scrolls. If authentic, it would shed light on the question,
"Where do pets come from?"

And Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."

And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will bewith you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will know I love you, even when you cannot see me. Regardless of
how selfish and childish and unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "But Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and all the good names are taken and I cannot think of a name
for this new animal."

And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peakcock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has
indeed taught him that he is loved, but no one has taught him humility."

And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not worthy of
adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam.

And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.

And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Dog wagged his tail.

And Cat did not care one way or the other.

First some local news.

West Felton, where I live, has been targeted by a 'knicker nicker', for our foreign brethren, that's someone that steals underwear off washing lines. This wouldn't normally interest me, but as they thief in question was wearing a hoody and walking a fat Jack Russell terrier, my step-daughter thought that it was me. Fortunately they caught the toe rag in question.

Secondly. National news.

Ian Duncan Smith, the conservative leader for those that have never heard of him, which is, I fear, most of the country, has finally come out and said what everyone else already knows. Tony Blair is a liar.

Has he just figured that out

And lastly, international news.

Lech Walesa thinks that Pope John Paul II should have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize. Why? What have the Catholic Church done to promote world peace? Ever? Never in the history of the world has one religion done so much to promote bloodshed, terrorism and torture. I just hope that when he dies God doesn't hold his faith against him.

Further to my theory on 'terrorists' having a go at Buckingham Palace. Truthseek3r at 'Illuminati Uncovered' had this to say.

'Makes your blood boil to see that these people can get away with anything and everything. They declare the wars and never ever get their hands dirty with blood, the under-paid men and women do that for them while they fatten their pockets and consolidate more power. Bah! Makes one puke!

--------

"If there was a 'terrorist' attack on Buckingham Palace in an attempt on Bush Jnrs. life, which would of course fail due to the quick thinking of the secret services, there would be a huge amount of backing by the British people for Bush and Blair's 'War on Terror'.
It would also be another 'good day to bury bad news', and would probably act as a stepping stone for the forthcoming invasions of Syria and Iran.'"

>>

I totally agree, in the past ten years, there has not been any recent terrorist attacks or major attempts on UK soil yet by 'Islamic terrorists' i.e. Al Qaeda. Any widely publicized attack or foiled attempts of an attack will definitely go down well and can be used to justify much more stringent 'anti-terror' laws that remove more civil liberties.

I am sure America has hatched up much more plans for invading Syria and Iran. If these two countries were an actual threat to America, and are prepared to use their WMDs against American citizens, then why haven't they launched any attacks with WMDs against U.S. troops in Iraq yet? Why hasn't Iran or Syria spoken out against American invasion and actually threaten America?

(Nor did Iraq actually threaten America - despite claims by Bush that they do not need the U.N. to defend themselves, a stupid statement in itself coz when did Saddam ever threaten America?) Any country can only claim self-defense if it was actually being threatened. America or the UK was never threatened by Saddam either verbally or politically. Taking that into account, Saddam had more right to defend itself and actually attack America or the UK. If Iraq initiated attacks on American or U.K. soil after receiving all those threats of attack off Bush and Blair, it would have have much more validity than the U.K+U.S. case against Iraq). The only threat Saddam was to America and the UK was that he was in the way of gaining access and control over O.I.L. (Operation Iraqi Liberation)

Well we know Iran has stepped up its nuclear weapons manufacture and so has N.Korea. Its the wisest move on their part, they need to show some form of military and weapon strength at least to deter America from invading them. This was what Iraq lacked, America knew Saddam did not have the WMD he can actually use and for this reason they had full confidence in just going forward with the war.

If Saddam did have WMD arsenal, the first thing we would've heard in the news were cruise missiles taking out long-range missiles depots and facilities and the Iraqi airbases. That's another point, Iraq doesn't even have a fickin air force to speak of, LOL.

The words of old Abe Lincoln rings true:

“Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment nothing can fail. Without it nothing can succeed. He who molds opinion is greater than he who enacts laws.” – Abraham Lincoln

Friday 3rd October 2003

Since my last posting I've been thinking that there may be the odd person or two, that thinks that I would like to see Buckingham Palace hit. This couldn't be further from the truth. I love my royal family.

When I became a cub scout many years ago, I promised to do my duty to God and to the Queen. And I like to think that I have stuck by that oath of allegiance.

Wednesday 1st October 2003

Sorry I'm late. I've had a bit of a depression on and I just couldn't be arsed to put fingers to keyboard.

I went to my step-daughters school harvest festival last week. What the hell happened to the songs. I knew that they would like it if the parents joined in with the singing but I'm afraid that 'Harvest Calypso' is a new one on me. I completely wasted a whole afternoon trying, desperately, to remember the words to, 'We plough the fields and scatter'.

I know that poor old Tony Blair is fighting for his political life at the moment so I've thought of a way he can bolster his image and get 'the people' behind him.

It has been well publicised that George W Bush is doing us the honour of paying us a state visit in November. And that he will be staying at Buckingham Palace as a guest of the Queen.

If there was a 'terrorist' attack on Buckingham Palace in an attempt on Bush Jnrs. life, which would of course fail due to the quick thinking of the secret services, there would be a huge amount of backing by the British people for Bush and Blair's 'War on Terror'.

It would also be another 'good day to bury bad news', and would probably act as a stepping stone for the forthcoming invasions of Syria and Iran.

The rantings of a disturbed mind or a premonition? We'll just have to wait and see.

Friday 19th September 2003

Nearly a week since my last entry. My recovery time is getting longer.

Confused? Let me explain.

On Monday I had to go for an interview in Bristol. If you were in the vicinity of Baldwin St. or the Thistle Hotel you may have seen me wandering around. Cannabis leaf shirt and a briefcase ring any bells?

Anyway, I digress. So I went to Bristol, which for me is a 300 mile round trip. And as you can imagine, with a back injury I felt every mile. So for the rest of the week my arms have been pretty sore and my neck has been crippling me. Hence no typing and no updates.

Tonight on the Richard and Judy show they are talking to a woman who caught vandals in her garden. She caught them, made them tidy up the mess and was arrested for abduction.

The case has subsequently been thrown out of court.

But this isn't the first time this has happened. There was a report recently of a gentleman who caught vandals polluting his pond. He caught them, and made them clear up their mess. Again this man was arrested.

What happened to the right to perform a citizens arrest?

And I think that is the big problem now. Rights.

Society has become obsessed with 'their human rights', but have forgotten their human responsibilities.

We hear people winging on about their 'right to have children' but they have forgotten that it is their human responsibility to bring that child up as a responsible and caring citizen of the world.

Family allowance and related benefits, that are often seen as handouts, should be seen as a wage for performing these responsibilities. And if your performance isn't up to the mark then you should be penalised.

Saturday 13th September 2003

Following a recent telephone conversation, I thought it was time for a quick Q&A session. SHOCK! HORROR! Some people can't be bothered to read web pages. Personally I blame society. But then I would, wouldn't I.

Q. Who is Reverend Phil Jones?

A. A 39 year old, ex- petty crook, ex-alcoholic, drug using son of a schizophrenic father and ex-traveling showgirl.

Brother of a Bosnian war mercenary and a sister who raises disobedient children and drugs them with Ritalin.

Husband to Claire.

I pause here. How can I express myself, my feelings for this woman, in a brief summary. That subject alone deserves a web site to itself.

Needless to say she is the best thing that has happened to me. She was there when my life came crashing down and she carried me from the rubble. I know that together we can change the Universe.

And step-father to Sophie and Bryony. Who aren't that bad when you get to know them. These days I would gladly give my life for theirs. They are my children.

Who is Reverend Phil Jones? A man who found God in a mushroom.

Q. What the hell is a Godsquid?

A. The Godsquid is a theory of God. It is my mythical creature that explains everything.

The tentacles of the squid are made of religions and sciences. Each believing that they are a separate entity. Each one trying to disprove the existence of all the other tentacles.

But If you look closely and listen carefully you see where all of these separate ideologies converge.

The body of the squid. That to which we are all attached. God.

Now that that's out of the way. Some other questions that I would like answering.

Why did the Port of New York and New Jersey demand a down payment of $800 million from Vornado for the lease on the World Trade Center. And then settle a deal with Larry Silverstein and Westfield America with a down payment of just $616 million, two months prior to the 'terrorist' attack?

Was time running out to offload what had become a dangerous piece of real estate? And what of the attack itself. Why the WTC?

I can understand targeting the Pentagon and the White House. These are American symbols. I would be able to understand the mentality of the attack if their targets had been the World series, the Superbowl or even decapitating the Statue of Liberty. (Lets face it the Yanks no longer deserve that statue and I think the French should ask for it back.)

But an attack on the WTC was an attack on the world. Representatives of 90 countries were killed in the disaster. I would call that a tactical mistake. If you're a terrorist, you rely on safe houses and friendly countries. You do not attack potential allies.

But if you are, let's say, the President of a huge country and you wanted to turn the world against a particular thorn in your side. This tactic is perfect. You must of course ensure that you attack some of your own bases to help shift blame. But keep the damage limited.

The American government toyed with this idea during the sixties in the hope that they could get public opinion on the side of an invasion of Cuba.

As George Dubya said on his way to the Whitehouse, "If you're sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign."

Is the CIA funding Al Muhajiroun? The leader of the British Muslim Council said that he can't understand why they do what they do. The religious hatred that they peddle is dangerous to Christian and Muslim alike.

George Bush and Al Muhajiroun have the same agenda. To bring about the holy war of scripture the Armageddon. A time when George Bushes army of Christ will do battle with the forces of the Anti-christ. The anti-christians. The Muslims.

Bush is quite mad you know. And Blair hangs onto his every word.

The Oval Office must resemble a scene from "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest".

I imagine Colin Powell throwing the kitchen sink through the window and sloping off into the distance.

Wednesday 10th September 2003

I didn't mention it but it was my birthday last Wednesday. And my lovely new wife bought me a frying pan. It's a very nice frying pan but it's still a frying pan. As you can probably tell I wasn't overly chuffed. My first reaction was, "oh good. Something else to wash up ".

Anyway Mrs. G and I had a long heart to heart in the wee small hours of the morning, and we came to the conclusion that we'd probably spent that much time together during the summer holidays, that we were running out of things to say, and it would all get back to normal when she got back to college and I could carry on running the house. But we also realised that if we didn't start taking more notice of each other then we'd be on the slippery slope.

6 days later and her first day back at college. She sat down in front of the computer when she got home and hardly acknowledged my existence for 5 hours.

So now I'm trawling the web looking for things of interest.

One particular item that caught my eye was this religious gag. It made me smile, but then, I don't get out a lot.

It seems the historical religious leaders (between moments of dispensing wisdom) had also learned software programming.
One day a great contest was held to test their skills.
After days of fierce competition, only two leaders remained for the last day's event: Jesus and Mohammed.
The judge described the software application required for the final test, and gave the signal to start writing code.
The two contestants feverishly typed away at their keyboards.
Routines, classes, applets and applications flew on their screens at incredible speeds. Windows, dialogs and other intricate graphics began forming on their monitors. The clock showed that the contest would soon be finished.
Suddenly a bolt of lightening flashed and the power went out. After a moment it came back on – just in time for the clock to indicate that the last competition was over.
The judge asked the two contestants to reveal their finished software. Mohammed angrily said that he'd lost it all in the power outage. The judge turned to the other competitor. Jesus smiled, clicked his mouse and a dazzling application appeared on his screen.
After just a few moments, the judge was clearly impressed and declared Jesus the victor.
When asked why the decision was made, the judge pointed out the unique characteristic that set the winner apart from all the other leaders: Jesus saves!

If this amused you then there's some more funny stuff right here.

So there's a new job for Mr. Geoff Hoon. Chief Can Carrier to the Prime Minister perhaps. But will he be able to give the job his utmost attention while still in the role of Defence Secretary.

I think that the PM believes he can do both. I think that in the next day or so the PM will announce that he is right behind Mr. Hoon. (Grinning stupidly)

But Mr. Hoon will realise that doing two things at once is quite beyond him, and it will be with great regret that Tony accepts his resignation, on the grounds that he wants to spend more time with his family.

'Bye Geoff. We'll miss you. With an SA80 anyway. But give me a nice AK and we'll see what we can do.

Tuesday 9th September 2003

So at last an MP has come out and admitted that Tony Blair and George W had already decided to attack Afghanistan and Iraq way before 9/11. The only thing that stood in their way was a reason.

What luck then, that a Muslim terrorist unit, following the orders of an ex-CIA agent, and business acquaintance of the Bushes, should crash a few planes into American targets. It's a god damn wonder Tony Blair hasn't given Bin Laden a Knighthood.

Yes, the timing of the attack could not have been better for Messrs Bush and Blair.

Kind of makes you wonder if the conspiracy theorists were right all along.

Friday 5th September 2003

Not dead yet. But it was a close call. As you will probably be able to tell in the last entry. I completely lost it on Sunday. Apparently the pain killers that I took to ensure a pain free afternoon reacted with the Amitriptyline in my system, and after a can of lager I suffered a dihydracodiene overdose. I think that maybe the datura saved my life that night by giving my central nervous system a kick start.

On a brighter note, I see that our beloved fuehrer, Tony Blair, continues to live up to our expectations. 24 hours after promising more open and honest relations with the press, he dodges every question about the Hutton inquiry. But what do you expect. This is the truth according to Tone. Pity none of it matches the facts.

While I'm on the subject of annoying socialists. A letter in the Daily Mail from a Mr. Andy Williams from Oldham in Lancashire berates the middle classes for ruining his, and every other member of the working classes, life.

I think that the man suffers from testicular narrativism.

He has forgotten what the middle classes are. Well let me remind him, and anyone else that is confused by the class war.

The middle classes don't really exist. They are the invention of the working class.

There are only to classes of people. Those that have to work to fund the lifestyle that they require. The Working Class. And those who have inherited wealth, land, position and title. Those that don't have to work to fund their lifestyle. The Upper Class.

The 'middle classes' are just those working class people that decided to pull themselves out of the gutter. And it is most unfortunate that they will be despised by both the 'working class' and the 'upper class'.

The workers will hate them for having the drive and the energy to change their lives for the better. And jealous of the fact that someone has more than them. The toffs hate them because they just hate to see anyone clawing their way to the top.

People like Mr. Williams are unfortunate to be born in the gutter, and like it there. And he thinks that if it's good enough for him, everyone else should be there.

Something else caught my eye in the Mail this week. And it was a piece on the 'scourge' of cocaine. Apparently it is no longer the favourite drug of the rich and shameless. It has found its way into every part of society.

If Al Qaeda had their heads screwed on, they might have realised that the way to wipe out a great part of the population, would be to cut cocaine with anthrax spores. There'd be no reason to have to use bombs or planes to disperse the stuff. The victims simply inhale it through a rolled up tenner.

But there's no need for terrorists to try to poison Britain. Our own government is doing its level best to do the job for them.

A bill is going through parliament to allow local authorities to decide whether or not our water supplies should have fluoride added to them. Up until now that decision has been left up to the water authorities.

So why the change?

Because most water authorities don't see the need to add toxic waste products to the water. It won't increase profits. So the reason must be that councilors are easier to bully and bribe.

A spokesman said on the news today that Birmingham had been drinking fluoridated water for 40 years and that if it had dangerous side effects they would have noticed by now.

Has this man ever been to Birmingham? That place is one big side effect. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Sunday 31st August 2003

I've done something really stupid tonight. Regular readers of this page may think 2So what's new", but tonight my stupidity went to greaater heights.

Today, Mrs G, the kids and I went to a party at my siisters house. The occasion was my neices 18th birthday.

So we turned up, drank a bit, talked to people and then I woke up at home. Alone. I phoned my wife on her mobile and discovered that she and the kids had gone on to another party at another girls house.

I saw my arse.

So I bonged about 30 datura seeds, smoked 1/2 a leaf and went to bed. Years later. Well, about 1/2 an hour, Mrs G. came home and woke me. Suddenly the seriousness of what I'd done hit me. I could have killed myself just to spite my wife.

How dare she leave me alone.

But lets face it. If anyone is at fault, it's me.

Guilty of beliieving that the whole world should revolve around me. And for that I apologise.

Not to you. Because you don't know who I am.

Not to wife because she was warned about what she was getting into when she met me.

No. I feel I owe myself an apology because I tried to kill myself again. And I thought I grown out of that.

There is one way that I won't kill myself and James Wilkes knows what that is. So if ever I am found in that poosition, I've been Kellyed.

And is only 3 days 'til my birthday. I'll thank everyone now for the cards. YOu doon't have to send one but remember. If you want to get into heaven. Who are you gonna trust? Me or the Pope.

Catch ya later Bill 'n' Ted!!!!!

Friday 29th August 2003

Well Campbell's gone. He says that it is for the sake of his family. I would think that perhaps he'd be better heading for a country without an extradition treaty.

Mrs. G. just asked me what a spin doctor is. " Oh a paid liar." she remarked after being given the explanation of Campbell's job. Says a lot for public opinion I think.

Did you know that Cannabis maybe good for your eyes, that may explain why I'm the only member of my immediate family that doesn't wear glasses.Or that cannabinoids are probably a better painkiller than the opium derivatives that are used at the moment.

Talking of drugs. I have found a field with lots of wild Datura Stramonium. If anyone wants any seeds or other part of the plant I will be quite happy to send you some. But please be aware that D. Stramonium is an unpredictable and dangerous drug. I will not send these plants or any part thereof to anyone that wants to use it to get stoned. If however you are interested in the Shamanistic use of the plant, I'll do what I can to help.

Had an email from Gregor Keyte of AAW Football Creations. I presume that he believes that our national squad could probably do with some divine help. Well, I'll have a word, but the Lord God knows that I can't stand football.

Ella's feeling much better according to the vet, but they want to keep her in for another night. She's got her sight back and is recognizing people again. I think she's suffered a really bad trip.

Since getting married and moving house, I have found that there are indeed demons walking the earth. No I don't live in Sunnydale and these demons don't try to suck your blood. They prefer to wring it out of you. I'm talking about bailiffs.

As soon as you sign your name to anything they seem to come crawling out of the woodwork sent by cackling hordes of court officials, creditors and ass holes. (Yes Booton, you're one of them.)

But what do you do if you have some burly gorilla on your doorstep demanding your furniture.

Answer: Don't let the bastards in. And they'll never get in.

Your rights

You cannot be sent to prison for not co-operating with a bailiff. You do not have to let them into your house. You should seek advice as soon as possible.

A bailiff must not threaten you illegally, force entry to your home or use offensive language. If you are concerned about a bailiff's behaviour, you can complain either to the creditor or to the court that sent them.

Today, we had to take one of our dogs, Ella, to the vet. She had been diagnosed with Demodectic Mange. The vet then prescribed Cephalexin and Ivomec. In the next couple of hours she started wobbling on her feet and walking into things she seemed positively terrified of everything around her. Next she went blind and started snapping at my wife and children.

These are all classic symptoms of ivomec poisoning. If your vet prescribes Ivomec for your dog please don't give it to your pet, it could kill.

What's more. When we rang the vet back to tell her what was happening, we were informed that there would be a £40 call out fee.

Needless to say they're not getting that. They poison my dog and want me to pay for the privilege. I don't think so.

After the bombing in Baghdad of the UN building by of what is thought to be a member Al Qaeda, Kofi Annan said that there was no need for blue helmets in Iraq. I think he is wrong. The time for blue helmets in Iraq was the day that George Bush announced that the war was over.

Is the UN past its sell by date. Does the UN itself need rebuilding. See 'Reunited Nations' and tell me what you think.

Further to my own theories on the death of Dr. David Kelly ( see below ) Brian Halford writes to me saying,

" The Putzreich has a "vested" interest in keeping the lid on this sewer of intrigue and world domination. Good luck on your pursuit of the "doctored" explanation of the probable murder of Dr. Kelly."

Thanks Brian.

And as for 'Freak Waves', Hans Moes of Enviromentek in South Africa writes,

Dear Rev Jones

Thank you for your interest in "freak waves" and the suggestion that you raised. It may well be that the rotation of the earth, besides the well known tidal constituent effects, also has some further effects on the water levels of the oceans. But if the axial wobble of the earth would have a sloshing effect, this would be at these same relatively low (tidal) frequencies.

The phenomenon of "freak" or extreme waves is a relatively high-frequency effect. The associated frequencies are in the domain of wind and atmospheric pressure fluctuations. I believe that the answer to the occurrence of "freak waves" will eventually be traced back to such pressure fluctuations and the interaction between individual waves.

It is not an easy subject to solve, but the European-funded research group is progressing well. We are planning to have the final meeting of this first phase of the study in October this year. I am sure there will be further publicity given to the outcomes of this research phase. However, one could say : "the more we know, the more we also know what we do not know". Frontiers of knowledge are shifting continuously, but God's creation is so phenomenal that in the foreseeable future we will still be baffled and stand in awe by its fascinating structure and its complicatedness. That makes it rewarding to do research.

Keep well and kind regards

Hans Moes

So there you have it. Thanks Hans.

EU Directive No. 456179

In order to meet the conditions for joining the Single European currency, all citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland must be made aware that the phrase "Spending a penny" is not to be used after 31st December 2001.

From this date, the correct terminology will be: "Euronating". Thank you for your attention.

Thankfully just a joke, but with comedians running the world, who knows.

Did anyone see Horizon on the BBC last week. It was all about freak waves. 30meter muthas that smash ships into driftwood.

I have a theory as to their creation but if there is anyone out there with a scientific mind, I could use some information.

Would the axial wobble in the earths axis cause a sloshing effect in the worlds oceans and could this cause the monster waves that are seen off the Norwegian coast and in the south Atlantic? Your views please.

Monday 10th August 2003

First the light-hearted good news.

Today I went to the dentist. Unfortunately I am of the generation that was brought up on Marathon Man, in an age when only sadists went to dental college. My palms were sweating, I had palpitations and because they were running late, I had to wait. It's like asking a condemned aristo if He minds lying there while you oil the guillotine. Perhaps sadists still go to dental college.

Now this little story leads me on, quite nicely, to the next, quite disturbing, story.

It emerged today that the police had arrested a 19 year old student for trying to buy a 9 year old for sex, click here to read the story.

What I found so disturbing is the fact that this young man wanted to be a teacher. How many others out there have steered their careers to help them get close to their prey. I know, I'm being paranoid again.

Let's face it. How often do you hear of members of the priesthood abusing children. If it was as rife as I believe we would be seeing social workers, police officers, school janitors, etc. charged with these offences. Oh that's right. We do.

Who watches the watchers?

It seems that the government has realised that Dr. David Kelly's final email could be a nail in their coffin. And so, after the Tom Kelly affair, they wheel out MoD permanent secretary Sir Kevin Tebbit to dis the guy further. Sir Kev brands the good doctor 'weird' and 'eccentric' (show me a scientist who isn't!) and it is claimed that he told James Robbins of the BBC that he was an 'unreliable source'.

What next? A parliamentary psychiatric report. Or perhaps Cherie and Carole can have a seance and get to the real truth.

Whenever I mention the possible murder of Dr. Kelly the one response that usually rears its head is, " Don't be stupid. The government don't murder people. You're paranoid." and then you get them to remember that the government sanctioned the killing and maiming of foreign civilians on what can only be described as 'very dodgy' evidence.

Do people actually believe that the life of one individual, who could seriously upset ones pension plans, is important to these people.

They allow thousands to die while they waste money on everything that nobody wants, but lines the pockets of friends, family, and anyone else with a tongue long enough.

For an example we need look no further than Charlie Falconer, whose only claim to organisational skills, prior to running the Millennium Dome, was organising his university bash. When he forgot to book the band.

And now this man sits on the government benches, an unelected Member of Parliament that we can't vote out.

We have trash telling us, no, ordering us, how to live.

Wednesday 6th August 2003

Well, I've been promising myself that I would do it and, finally, I have. The Advice page has been updated with lots more stuff and links. Far to much to go into here so if you can't wait, click here.

Upcoming stuff includes a selection of my wedding pictures and some pics from the Mayday festival that I attended earlier this year.

Sunday 3rd August 2003

With regards to my belief that Dr. David Kelly was murdered, I have sent the following email to the House of Lords:

With regards to the workings of the House of Lords, will Lord Huttons'
inquiry into the untimely death of Dr. David Kelly, focus at all on his
final email sent the day before his death. These were not the final thoughts
of a man on the edge. I believe that the inquiry should focus on possible
foul play by Britain's secret services.

Yours sincerely

Reverend Philip B R Jones

I have received the usual automated answer but if anything else happens I'll keep you informed.

Mrs. Godsquid and I went out for the afternoon with my mother and our dogs today. We went to a place called Colemere, not far from where I live. And guess what? My little dog, Kah'less, learned to swim. I felt like a proud father.

Thursday 31st July 2003

Since I injured my back I have had to learn to use my right arm more and more. This has, in effect, made me somewhat ambidextrous. So when the time came to put up a shed at our new abode, it has become painfully apparent that I can now hit myself on either thumb with the hammer.

More troops died today in Iraq. Messrs. Bush and Blair should have kept the war going. We lost less men while the fighting was going on. If you want to know which country is next on the hit list check out Axis of Evil, you may just want to change your holiday plans.

If, like me, you have a phobia towards dentists, then there is a good chance that you aren't registered with anyone at the moment. And as the news showed yesterday, the chances of getting registered are becoming slimmer all the time. If you need any dental help check out this site. And good luck.

Wednesday 30th July 2003

Web pages, like science and religion, should evolve. New ideas need to be evaluated and, if at all possible, incorporated into what we already know and believe. But it is a sad fact that only science and web pages do evolve. Religion on the other hand refuses to move forward. The organized religions of the world have found the truth and that is that. Everyone else is lying. They work from 2000 year old scriptures, trying to impose 2000 year old ideals. If science had evolved at the same rate as religion, doctors would be drilling skulls to release demons and we would be gazing in awe at birds and marveling as they floated on invisible strings.

I have a message for the churches of the world. Forget the names, sit down together, and agree on a single philosophy. Before your love of God kills us all.

Remember. There are 3 sides to every argument. Your side. Their side. And the truth.

Religion continues to to sell salvation whilst threatening eternal damnation. Religion has become an ecclesiastical protection racket. ( Perhaps the Pope should be known as The Godfather.)

Listen up! God will not forgive you your sins. Because God doesn't know what sin is. God is neither good nor great. God just is. Evil doesn't exist in Gods Kingdom. Only in the minds of men.

Tuesday July 29th 2003

With Alistair Campbell on his way out, does anyone else get the feeling of rats leaving a sinking ship. Will Blair end up in a cell next to Slobodan Milosevik for war crimes? Or perhaps Parkhurst. For the suicide of Dr. David Kelly.

A local scandal that I have uncovered is to do with The Marches Secondary School in Oswestry. Talking to a source at the school, it has emerged that the staff have been told to clear out all paper and exercise books that are over 3 years old. Now my immediate thought was that perhaps they would be sent to one of the poorer schools that are having to make teachers redundant. No, that's not the plan. Then perhaps they're being sent to the third world. No, not that either. These thousands of reams of paper aren't even being recycled, they're all going into landfill. And on top of that, each head of department is having a new office built. I trust that our children have all they need to maintain they're education.

Monday July 21st 2003

Guess what? I'm back. And what a 3 months and 20 days it's been.

So just to re-cap.

My mum is still okay. No signs of any cancers reappearing. Fingers crossed.

I went to court regarding my living conditions and the judge agreed with me that Booton Property Rental of Shrewsbury, had indeed left me with a faulty gas boiler, and had lied continuously about plumbers visits.

The Homeless in Oswestry Action Project has had to re-think it's procedures when dealing with 'conflicts of interest', i.e. landlords being on their committee. This came about as a result of my contacting the Charities Commission.

It just goes to show that if you throw enough mud, some sticks.

And the best news of all. Mrs. Godsquid and I decided to get married. So we tied the knot on June 20th, and life has never looked better.

As for more current affairs.

Tony 'Herr' Blair is a liar. I think most of the world, except for the Americans, will agree. The question is how much longer can he hang on. Personally I think he ought to do the decent thing and go into a darkened room with a loaded revolver and do everyone a favour.

Perhaps he could get the secret services to lend a hand. They're good at arranging suicides. Just ask Dr. David Kelly. Oh we can't. He's dead.

Yes I know that everyone in the media and government are saying that he took his own life, but, and I'm talking as one who has contemplated and attempted suicide on more than one occasion, this man was not suicidal. How do I know? Because the last email that he sent, the day prior to his death, was looking toward the future and what he wanted to do. Suicide victims don't think like this. If they do look toward the future they see only darkness.

Dr. David Kelly was murdered. Nuff said.

Tuesday April 1st 2003

Well, the war is nearly a fortnight old and the military are starting to think of Vietnam and Korea. I must admit that the coalitions tactics took me by surprise, and sometimes the element of surprise is a good thing. But not this time methinks.

The news tonight is that Colin Powell is visiting Turkey to discuss troop deployment. I wonder if God is visiting George W discussing world domination. I say God visiting Bush, because I know that George doesn't visit anyone else's country. Poor old Tony Blair has to keep trekking all the way to America every time he needs to ask George something.

Apparently the British forces are not going to be reinforced properly. This is because the government wants to make a political statement to the striking firemen.

On brighter note. I won the first part of my court case. So my eviction from this house has been delayed somewhat. And as I had to act as my own brief, I think I am justifiably chuffed with myself. And I know that ' Pride comes before a fall.' but I also think that pride in our achievements makes us aim just that little bit higher next time.

BREAKING NEWS - The SARS virus has been proved to be an American biological weapon aimed at taking the minds of the Chinese off the forthcoming Armageddon.

APRIL FOOL!!! Maybe.

By the way. New page added to 'Advice' for anyone that is worried about or has been a victim of Date Rape. More new stuff on its way.

March 29th 2003

Hi. I'm back. Sorry I've not been around for a while but I've not been well. My doctor realised that there maybe a problem when I threatened to petrol bomb my enemies. He looked kinda worried until Mrs. Godsquid pointed out that he wasn't on the list, and that I quite like him. I would just like to say that Dr. Santiago Eslava Gurrea, is a cool guy and one helluva doctor. He did however put me on citalopram hydrochloride. In the interests of public safety I should think.

Now I know this drug was meant to calm me down, but I never realised that calm is really boring. My life has always been full of extremes. Both the ups and the downs. Nothing bothers me any more. My rants at the television have become "Huh. That's crap." The New World Order marches steadily onward infringing on every aspect of our lives and I think, "so what!" Talking of which I did happen to notice on the news at some point that an MP referred to it as "the World Order."!!! Not so 'New' now methinks.

My mum is recovering well from her operation, she has however developed a touch of bronchitis in her good lung. She told me that while she was on the table the doctors had trouble keeping her alive as she suffered a bad reaction to the anesthetic. And she told me that all that she can remember was walking down a brightly lit corridor, with a row of people lining the one wall. And as she walked down the corridor she shook hands with each and every one. She says that she didn't recognise anyone but she felt that they were benevolent. If this was a bona fide 'Out Of Body Experience' I don't, and never will, know. But I do like to believe that the row of souls that she met at that time, were those of you out there, that prayed for her. And with that belief, my thanks.

Friday 14th March 2003

I've been meaning to keep everyone informed about my housing problems but my solicitor thinks that I should steer clear of that subject until I've been to court. I can tell you that Owen Paterson MP did his bit. He didn't actually do anything except write a letter to my landlord asking for an explanation. But he served his purpose. In the early stages of the war I had him bombarded with letters and phone calls from newspapers, MP's, etc. That rattled him, I can tell you.

Thursday 13th March 2003

I was talking to Mrs. Godsquid the other night and I told her that I'd be glad to be out of this house as it's brought me nothing but grief since the day I moved in. For instance. I moved in on a house sharing scheme with a friend from work, purely a financial relationship, although he did have the dreamiest blue eyes and a body to die for. The one drawback was that he was a reformed heroin addict. And it was to my great sadness that he got caught again by this, in my experience, most horrible drug. He moved back to his parents so that they could give him the help that he so dearly needed.

Then I get a lodger. Financially reliable but, and you'll have to excuse the language, FUCKING annoying. He turns out to be someone with legally questionable sexual tastes.

Yes. Since I moved in I have had nothing but grief.

But. Saying that. If I hadn't moved in here I wouldn't have met the best friends a person could have. If i hadn't been crippled at work I would still be down at the Boars Head propping the bar up. Mrs. Godsquid would have gotten seriously pissed off with me being drunk all the time and would have buggered off by now. So in that respect, this house and the accident at work are the best things that have ever happened to me. It's all a matter of perspective.

Wednesday 26th February 2003

Yeah. I know. Late again. Don't blame me, blame the anti-depressants.

I received a letter this morning from the Dept. of Work and Pensions stating that their Stoke office will now be handling my claim for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit. I had forgotten that I had put this claim in. I first put in a claim when I had to leave work, 12 months ago. So I telephoned the Stoke office and was told that they were taking over, as the Birmingham office hadn't done anything with them. Paperwork that means the difference about whether or not I eat, or keep a roof over my head, has been sitting on some bodies desk. I'm not happy.

I've still not been evicted but a court date has been set for a possession hearing. My mum is coming along in leaps and bounds. She still looks very frail to me so I don't really want to lay my problems on her.

Well the war is nearly here, so I got thinking about all those people that I've grown up with and haven't seen for years. Wouldn't a pre-armageddon party be a great idea. And should the poo really hit the fan and Britain becomes a target, you could say all your goodbyes in one fell swoop.

I had the following piece sent to me by one of my readers:

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term exam paper:

"Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat), or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Support your answer with a proof" Most of the student wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle`s Law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant thereof.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So, we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.
Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let`s look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since, there are more than one of these religions, and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go
to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase expotentially Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell, because Boyle`s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand as souls are added.

This gives us two possibilities:

If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms Krissy Jones during my Freshman year that "it will be a cold night in Hell before I
sleep with you" and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then ( 2 ) cannot
be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic.

This student got the only A.

A good example of science and religion going hand in hand.

Tuesday 18th February 2003

No. Not dead yet. But it was touch and go there for a while. My doctor has stuck me on Diazepam and Citalopram. That's why this update is over a week late. I just can't be bothered with anything at the moment. If the bomb dropped today I probably wouldn't notice. Which would be a damn shame as I've picked a prime spot to watch the end of the world from.

But what a week it's been - apparently.

Someone mentioned that there had been a bit of an anti-war march. I did catch some of it on the news. The one placard that caught my eye was one that said, " Down with this sort of thing ". I wasn't sure whether he meant wars or marching.

Other news:

Al Qaeda Attacks Likely - But Not Until After D-Day

CIA Director George Tenet warned on Feb. 11 that al Qaeda might try to attack the United States and Saudi Arabia before week's end. However, given al Qaeda's strategic priorities, logic argues that al Qaeda could lose more by striking before the start of a U.S.-led war on Iraq than after.

Horn of Africa: A Rivalry of Cooperation

Tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea could cripple U.S. anti-terrorism and war efforts in the Middle East and Horn of Africa regions. Washington needs the Horn to remain calm, but the two rivals will play off each other in a bid for more benefits from the United States.

Herr Blair decides that he is personally taking over the asylum problems that this country faces. So what happens. The Government inform the Mayor of Shrewsbury that he is an illegal immigrant and a granny is given 10 days to get out. That's it Tone, you show 'em. Am I the only person, apart from Ken Livingston, that thinks that the congestion charge is a good idea. Well. It will be if ALL of the money is ploughed back into creating a decent public transport system.

Lastly. Is that a cut above David Beckhams eye or the finishing touches to his lobotomy.

Monday 10th February 2003

Hands up everyone that's been watching 'The Second Coming'. Brilliant piece of television drama. But I'm afraid the end didn't live up to my expectations. If God suddenly ceased to exist then so would we. Because if God could wake from the dream of life then those that he dreams of, i.e. US, are nothing more than a half remembered memory.

Sunday 9th February 2003

Revelation 16
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

Penguins die in epidemic

The most famous symbol of the Falkland Islands, the waiter-like gentoo penguin, has been hit by an unidentified malaise which has killed thousands and left many partially paralysed. Health authorities in the South Atlantic islands are dealing daily with reports of the black-and-white birds being washed ashore dead, or incapable of either swimming or parading the beach. The condition, which has also affected the related magellanic penguin species, has yet to be diagnosed by scientists and vets.
Concern is growing on the islands. Its gentoo flock is the largest in the world at 115 000 birds, but it is also vulnerable to epidemic because of its concentration in one small place. "We are talking about 40 percent of the global population being here on the islands," said a spokesman for Falklands Conservation, which is leading the hunt for clues about the condition.

Last year, the British government spent GBP 25 000 on a gentoo health project after reports from RAF pilots that the birds appeared to fall over backwards after low-flying jets had roared past.

The theory about the much more serious epidemic of deaths and paralysis is that a population explosion in microscopic, toxic sea plants has poisoned penguins feeding on fish. Gentoos, the world's fastest-swimming birds, may also have ingested the plankton.

Falklands Conservation said that coastal monitors had reported toxic plankton concentrations, known as "red tides", because the millions of pinkish creatures appear to turn patches of the sea red. The spokesman said: "The tiny plants, known as dinoflagellates, bloom under certain conditions to dangerous levels. Recently, a red tide algal bloom has led to the closure of several shell fisheries along the Patagonian coast. We've got researchers taking seawater samples, which will either confirm or rule out a red tide as a possible cause."

Red tides also poison small fish, which may in turn be eaten by larger species, which then become the prey of penguins. "When that happens, the fish can build up their own toxins which can prove fatal to a predator, such a penguin," added the spokesman.

Last year's gentoo study by the RAF appeared to clear the species of suffering from lethal nervous stress in areas used for low flying. Scientists watched as helicopters made repeated sorties over penguin colonies in South Georgia, and reported that none of the stiff, ramrod-straight birds keeled over.

[Byline: Martin Wainwright]

Is this the second stage of the end of the world. You decide.

By the way. My mum is feeling much better now, as am I. I must admit that the silver lining in my present cloud is taking some finding, but I'm sure it's there somewhere.

Friday 7th February 2003 01:45 am

I thought I'd have an early night and try to get some sleep for once. But oh no, the world is conspiring against me. I was lying in my bed when I heard my neighbour thrashing around his house. Then my neighbour comes home and I find out that what I had been listening to was his girlfriend. She has just broken in and trashed the place. My neighbour is not a happy chap.

There's a nice little drinkers prayer been added to the 'Caned and Unable' gallery. Hope you like it.

Thursday 6th February 2003

No you haven't missed a day or anything like that, it's just that yesterday I was a wee bit busy trying to keep a roof over my head.

Well. It looks like we're going to war soon. But who with? Iraq's a certainty. But what about North Korea? They say that they're ready for all out war if America attacks. And these are people with a known nuclear capability. Who's gonna press the button first. And if someone does decide to start nuking the opposition, what about the rest of the world. Will the nuclear powers think " oh well, if they can do it...." This could very well end up as the last year that the Pakistanis and Indians see. Will Russia decide to get rid of Chechenya altogether. Forget the skies. Watch for flashes on the horizon.

But to tell you the truth global thermonuclear war would solve my problems. Who needs a house when you're floating around as radioactive dust.

As for my housing problems. I'm fed up with everyone saying, "well, it's not right. But as the law stands....". Well I'm sorry but, if it's not right then it shouldn't be law.

The way I'm feeling tonight this could well be my last posting. I'm fed up with having to struggle and fight just for survival. I'm sorry but, honest, life isn't really worth it. Each day wondering if this could be my last meal for a week. Wondering whether I'm going to die of hypothermia in the night. Surely death can't be that bad. And according to those that have had near death experiences, it's better than here. No pain. No suffering. Just perfect happiness. Sounds pretty damn good to me.

Tuesday 4th February 2003

Had a pretty good day today. I went to see my solicitor regarding my impending eviction. She seems to think that I have a pretty good case. On the same subject. I received an e-mail from Owen Paterson MP. And he is doing some letter writing on my behalf. At least there's one MP, that is willing to help his constituents. And my mum phoned from the hospital. She's coming home tomorrow.

On a more serious note. In the news today there is the continuing row in Parliament regarding reformation of the upper house. I can see why Tony Blair wants a wholly appointed upper house. He can fill the seats with his cronies, making sure that no one stands in his way, when it comes to creating the world that he thinks that we should all live in.

With regards to the possibility of terrorist chemical or biological weapon strike. Did you know that during WWI, at least 1.3 million men were wounded by chemical attacks, 91,000 of whom died. During WWII, the use of chemical and biological weapons could have been extensive but fortunately the tragedy did not occur. The United States, for example stockpiled approximately 36,000 tones of chemical warfare agents before production ceased around 1969. Yet, the stockpile of nerve gas in the U.S. alone is said to be “sufficient to kill the entire population of the world, 4,000 times over”.

Monday 3rd February 2003 03:15 AM

To all you postmen, milkmen, bakers, etc. Good morning.

I can't sleep. Something's been preying on my mind all evening and I think I finally have the answer. Tying Ariel Sharon into the 'Dark Trinity', felt wrong. Don't ask me why, I just know. So if the third member isn't A.S., who is it? The only name that seems perfectly logical to me, is Osama Bin Laden. Now, you may laugh, you may scoff, but I do have my reasons. Admittedly most of based on conspiracy theory.

It is a known fact that Osama had had dealings with America in the days before he became the most wanted man on the planet. (Yet no one has seen him. There are more sightings of Nessie than OBL)

So this is my theory.

Osama Bin laden, with the aid of the CIA orchestrate an act of barbarism never before witnessed. The world is enflamed with rage. The target was well chosen. Nearly every major country in the world had someone inside the twin towers. A lackluster attempt to destroy the pentagon would throw a lot of people off the scent.

Osama then makes it known that he is in Afghanistan giving George Bush an excuse to invade and oust the Taliban government. That's right. The nasty people that turned on America once the Americans had gotten them into power. This really buggered up Americas plans for an oil pipeline that was due to come south from Uzbekistan. The Taliban had to go. Osama sends in the odd piece of video footage just to keep the juices flowing.

After the invasion begins, OBL gets flown, executive class, to a safe haven, care of the CIA. And sits back to enjoy his retirement. His part in the great plan is done. He may make the odd guest appearance, but it will be very shadowy, and no one will really be sure if it was him or not. This keeps up the mystery for the enemy, and the threat, to 'the peace luvvin' west'. In the meantime, George W Bush and Tony 'I'm not a poodle' Blair, get nearly a free rein on running the world. And every time someone questions their motives they use the same old line. "We don't want another September the 11th". All the time planning the deaths of thousands, if not millions.

By the way. I had a phone call from my mum today. She's out of intensive care and is on the mend.

If you think the idea of thermo-nuclear is bad, you should read the new sermon on the economic effects of a war with Iraq.

Sunday 2nd February 2003

The deaths of the seven Colombia crew yesterday had me thinking until the early hours of this morning. The fire from Heaven, the seven angels ( creatures from the heavens ), the first Israeli astronaut and the disaster co-ordination base camp being set up at Palestine, Texas. Most people would probably see the pattern of such events as either purely co-incidental or a figment of my own imagination. Either way, I decided to spend the evening reading Revelations in the hope that something may just 'leap out at me'. What I read has finally confirmed my mistrust of our world leaders.

Since 9/11 I have been convinced that chapter 18 in the Book of Revelations, The Fall of Babylon, refers directly to the carnage witnessed at the twin towers.

8: Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

9: When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her.

10: Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
O Babylon, city of power!
In one hour your doom has come!'

17: In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!'

19: They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!

Now I'm not saying that I'm right, although I do 'feel' that I'm right. And if my assumptions about the Fall of Babylon are correct that would in itself prove something far more disturbing.

Rewind back a couple of chapters to chapter 16 verses 1-21. This chapter quite clearly shows the seven stages of mankind's demise. Just as clearly as Genesis shows the seven stages of the of our creation.

13Then I saw three evil[1] spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

Could the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet, be Ariel Sharon, George W Bush, and Tony Blair? Here are 3 men proclaiming to be doing Gods work, and yet they lead us into, what has the potential to be, the greatest mass slaughter of human life that this world has ever known. Is that the work of your God?

Saturday 1st February 2003 07:00pm

More death and destruction, and again the world weeps. Mrs. Godsquid and I sat open mouthed as we watched the horror of the Columbia space shuttle burning up on re-entry. There will be those out there, that are going to try to blame this sad event on terrorism. Looking for someone to blame. But I'm afraid it's just technology. The higher we aim the greater the risk. And space travel is aiming very high.

My mums much better now. Bit of a shaky start there but everything looks like it's going to pan out ok.

I got in touch with my local newspaper, the 'Oswestry Advertiser' to highlight my housing problem but they don't seem to think that a landlord that helps the homeless and in the meantime rents out dangerous or unchecked property is news worthy. It is this kind of attitude that leads to the needless deaths of those unfortunate enough to rent these potential death-traps. I think that a letter to my MP is warranted. I'll let you know what he has to say.

Friday 31st January 2003 05:40pm

First the good news my mum seems to be on the mend. I like to thank Nerys at the Carreg Llwydd Evangelical Church in Oswestry for taking time out to pray for her.

I have spent the day limping around town trying to see what could be done with respects to my housing dilemma. In the course of my travels I stopped in to visit Andrew at the Homeless in Oswestry Action Project, to get their advice. It seems that even they may not be able to help me. Why? Because my landlord is a big name on their fundraising committee. So now it's all down to my solicitors and the council. I'll keep you informed on that.

A new sermon has been added looking at Canada's improved security measure since 9/11. Some things there that I think our own government should look at. Some. Not all.

Friday 31st January 2003 02:30 am

My mums not well. She is suffering an adverse reaction to the anesthetic and the Morphine. I don't mind telling you that I am more than a little worried. And to top it all I received an eviction notice as well. And why am I being evicted? Because I had the nerve to report him to the Health and Safety Executive for not fixing my faulty gas boiler. If there are any other tenants of Graham and Jayne Booton from Shrewsbury, that are having problems getting repairs done, I'd love to hear from you.

Thursday 30th January 2003

U.S. Coast Guard units are being deployed to an undisclosed location to aid the anti-terrorism war, but most sources indicate they will be sent to the Persian Gulf region. If so, the Coast Guard will be in a potential war zone for the first time since the Vietnam war.

More news on the mother front. She had her operation today, and they have removed the offending piece of lung and she is in recovery. At the moment she is still out cold, but so far everything is looking good. She is going to be under observation for the next 48 hrs. so I'll give you an update in 2 days time.

Something else that caught my eye today. On page three of the Daily Mail is a picture of the Russian girl 'band' Tatu, and the headline, 'Paedo-pop plumbs the depths as Tatu head for the top.' I hope that the parents who give their children money to buy this trash realise that they, in their own way, are encouraging paedophilia.

Young girls pretending to be even younger, or very young girls pretending that they're older, gaze adoringly at the camera, and sing about sex, while some pervert watches the TV with his dick in his hand.

So, parents. The ball's in your court. Next time young Sally or whoever puts her school uniform on, remember this. There are an awful lot of people out there that believe that sex with schoolgirls is OK, because they've seen Top of the Pops and think that all schoolies are gagging for it.

My god, I sound old.

I have just been watching Central News and I must admit that the news from 'The Heart of Birmingham Health Trust' has left a bad taste in my mouth. Why? Because they have opened up a surgery just for asylum seekers and immigrants. This news comes a day after I found out that my mother had spent Monday sat on a chair in a hospital cubicle. Where else is this going on?

George Bush tells the Iraqi people that "their enemy is ruling their country." I want to tell every man, woman, and child of Great Britain exactly the same thing.

I have a dream.Tony Blair in cross hairs. Or suspenders and basque but that's another story.

The parents of a teenage soldier whose death at Deepcut Army barracks is at the center of a police investigation are claiming their home is being bugged. Jim and Yvonne Collinson, who believe their son James, 17, was murdered, said listening equipment was discovered in a lamp after detectives swept their house on Friday. However the police involved say that although the house had been ' swept for bugs ' no listening devices were found.

Someones lying.

It could be the Collinsons. Trying to keep up media interest in their sons murder. But why? The media isn't needed now that a proper investigation is taking place. So really, I can't see what they would achieve. So that that must mean that the police are lying. Why?

More personal stuff. A friend of mine, Neil, telephoned tonight to tell me that his gran had died. Apparently she had a stroke and the doctors said that she wouldn't last 24 hours. Neil tells me that she hung on for 24hrs. and 30 min's. Just to prove them wrong.

I had met her quite a few times, but two of them are most memorable. When Neil was facing homelessness once, his gran said that he could move in with her. Since my mother owned a large van, I helped him move. His gran paid me £5 to help him move in, and £20 to move him out. She was a lovely woman and my heart goes out to Neil and his family.

More news on the mother front. On Sunday she went to Birmingham's Heartlands hospital. They had phoned earlier to tell her that a bed was available. She had an undisturbed sleep, and awoke at 8am Monday morning. All well and good so far. Soon after waking she decided that a trip to the toilet was in order. On her return, she finds that her bed has gone!!! So she spent most of Monday sat on a chair, in a cubicle, until they found her another bed. I've told her, "take no more chances, keep a bucket in your room".

Just sitting back, having a smoke, as is my won't, musing over a conversation a friend and I were having earlier, regarding the shabby state of our education system. But ask yourself this. Why would any government want to breed a whole generation, that is uneducated and ill-informed? Answer. The stupid are easier to control. They don't ask awkward questions. They believe what they are told without question. And by the time the next election comes around, a great number of them will be able to vote. Providing we haven't all died in the coming war that is.

My own personal feelings on the war with Iraq is, yes, lets bomb him back into the stone age where he'll no longer be a threat. I know that other countries have weapons of mass destruction, but as you can probably see, no ones used them yet. They have acted as a perfectly good deterrent to conflict for the past fifty-seven years. And I think that the nations of the world have shown that they are mature enough to own them. Saddam I'm afraid with all of his saber rattling and petty taunts seems, to me more like a baby in its playpen, throwing his rattle around and yelling his lungs out. All quite harmless, noisy, but harmless. Until you give him scud missiles and peoples lives to play with.

The news this week. England and Wales Cricket Board have decided that it is quite safe for the England cricket team to go to Zimbabwe. Safe for whom. It’s not safe for the thousands of white farmers, ex-pats and anyone else holding a British passport.

When ‘our boys’ get to Zimbabwe I hope that they will take the time to apologise to all the widows of murdered farmers and workers, that have died at the hands of Mugabes’ ‘war veterans’. And explain to them why they are supporting this murderous tyrants regime.

The news of Mugabes visit to France this week caused outrage in the media. But why should we be surprised with France’s attitude towards this man. After all during WWII half of the country thought Hitler was a half-decent chap.

Tony Blair was interrogated this week by an anti-war protester at a conference. The fact that this conference was one of those rare times when the PM was focusing on the problems in this country was seemingly ignored by the protester who could have used his fifteen minutes of fame to do something constructive for his own country.

Talking of anti-war protests. An anti approached me earlier in the week, handing out leaflets, one of which was wafted in front of Mrs.Godsquid and I. “What’s this?” I asked. “Stop the war!” An elderly, woman proclaimed, she was a Quaker I believe. “Read your bible,” I said. “It says in the bible that God will return after Armageddon. We need this war.” I was answered with silence.

So this made me think. If all of the religious groups think that they are the chosen people, and God will save them, why worry about a war that will wipe out the anti-Christ and his legions. We should be welcoming the End of Days with open arms.

And my mum's gone into hospital today ready for her op. I'll keep you posted.

Wednesday 22nd January 2003

It is now 11:20 pm. I've spent the evening with friends and have just downloaded my emails, and in one of them was this quote.

"When you are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself,
and study your own failings, then you will forget your anger."
Epictetus of Frigia (50-135); Greek/Latin philosopher.

Considering the way I was feeling in the wee small hours of this morning, and you can call me optimistic, but I think that maybe someone or something felt my pain and gave me the answer that I already knew to be true. And if that's not proof that there's a God, then I don't know what is. Even if he has started delivering His Word by E-mail rather than by Seraphim.

Wednesday 22nd January 2003

It's 2:30 am and I can't sleep. Again. I am filled with so much anger and hatred at the moment that I think I'm beginning to sink into another depression.

Why am I angry? Because 12 Months ago I was working as a £15,000 a year tree surgeon. Now I'm a cripple surviving on £63.25 per week incapacity benefit, relying on handouts from friends and family just to be able to keep a roof over my head and food in my belly. And I don't think that the roof is going to be there much longer.

So who is that I'm angry with? Is it the idiot that works for Access Hire Tree Services that threw the branch that damaged my spine? Or is it the other members of the workforce that lied and covered up the accident? (One of which is my Mums cousin, and a Jehovah's Witness come to that.) Or maybe it's my landlords who have left me with no heating since November last year and still expect the rent? And no. The council don't pay all of my rent, I have to pay £17 per week out of my benefits. Through no fault of my own I have been reduced to begging. Begging from the powers that be for just a little help.

Or am I angry with myself for not being able to manage.

Sunday 19th January 2003

Well what a week it's been. Soon after we report our former friend for viewing child porn, the police announce that they are investigating 7000 people regarding the same offence. What kind of race have we become when the sanctity of childhood can be so readily discarded? Can someone please tell me what makes a small, shapeless, infant, so sexually alluring.

Why is it that Bush and Blair seem so eager to drag us into a war that no one wants or believes in. Could it be the fact that the world is being run by two born again Christians who see Al Qaeda and Iraq as the armies of the anti-christ, ( 'cause let's face it they're certainly anti-christian ) and these to wannabe WORLD leaders are the hand of God. Last man standing is the new Messiah.

The Vatican issued orders this week that it is the duty of all Roman Catholics especially if they hold positions of power to vote against abortion and all forms of contraception. What they should be doing is making sure that those children already born are protected from the predatory advances of their priests. Or are they more concerned with making sure that there's plenty of fresh children to feed on. Frail as the Pope is, I'll bet he could still give King Herod a run for his money.

On a personal note. On top of the usual bills and daily irks that make life such an adventure we found out that my mum has lung cancer. The lump isn't too big and, thankfully, is still operable. She is going into hospital next Sunday. If you've got a spare 5 minutes, I'd be grateful if you could spare her a prayer to whichever deity you hold dear.

If all days were good days, then they'd just be days.
