Salvation...
Who is it for? Why is it given?
If God is a loving God, then why should he condemn people to Hell? Can Muslims or others who live moral lives also be sanctified as well?
"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been amde well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the "stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' (quoted from Psalm 118) Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
   -Acts 4:8-12
An example of an answer uninspired by the Holy Spirit... "I have talked with Muslim leaders. They are --the ones I've met --very fine people. They are on their way [to salvation] just as certain as I'm on my way."
  -United Methodist Bishop Melvin Talbert
...Do not believe all you hear. There is one teacher, that is Christ.
Well then, how do we know who to believe, concerning such important issues as salvation?
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world."
   -1 John 4:1-3
So what of predestination?? How could a God who IS love condemn people from the beginning for death?
Salvation from God is like Invitations to a Son's  Wedding.......
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding (the Jews); and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, "Tell those who are invited, "See, I have p\repared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding (the Kingdom of God)." But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. (The martyrs of the Old Testament: starting with Abel and ending with Zechariah) But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderes, and burned up their city. (Jerusalem's siege and destruction in A.D. 70; the holocaust; many other examples) Then he said to his servants, "The  wedding is ready, but those were invited were not worthy. (Did not obey God) Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' So those servants went out into the highways and fathered together all whom they found (Gentiles), both bad and good. (works don't save. Both bad and good are invited) And the wedding hall was filled with guests.
"But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' (Job 29:14
- I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.) And he was speechless. The the king said to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
For many are called,
but few are chosen.
