FAITH
What is FAITH?
"Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." -Hebrews 11:1
Why should I put faith in God anyway?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding
In all ways acknowlege Him
And He shall direct your paths"-Prov 3:5
Matthew 18:15-18 states "If a beleiver does something wrong, go confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that beleiver.16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you so that accusations may be verified by two or three witnesses.17 If he ignores these witnesses, tell it to the community of beleivers. If he also ignores the community, deal with him as you would a heathen or a tac collecter.18 I can guarentee this truth: whatever  you imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free.
Just how powerful is this faith that I speak of?
And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away (one day delay, acording to Mark) And when the the disciples saw it they marveled saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?"
So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea, 'it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. -Matthew 21:18-21 (Mark 11)
Tithing- What's it got to do with faith?
"So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out her poverty put in all she had, he whole livelihood."-Mark 12:43-44
The poor widow gave to the treasury little, though this little comprised most of her income. She put faith in God that he would provide for her. For this reason, you should also follow the widow's example.
If I have faith, will God be with me always, guiding or helping me?
"The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
The LORD is with me; he is my helper.
I will look in triumph on my enemies."
"It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust princes."
Does faith account for anything in real life?
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for Jew the first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The Just shall live by faith."

Romans 1:16-17
Psalm 119:6-9
"Then Job answered the LORD and said:
"I know that you can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You"
"
-Job 42:1-2,
said by Job, who, although he was smitten by Satan, covered with sores from head to toe, losing everything, including his property and family, still regarded the LORD God as the only true, loving, and powerufl God, and ultimately provedfaithful to God. In return, he received double his already great fortune and raised another family.
If the Father is so great, why would He partake in my affairs? Won't He deal with items of greater importance?

"Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it."
