Well,
if you've gotten here it's because you've managed to find my
page at Geocities somehow...I run a number of play-by-email
(“pbem”) role-playing games. You can visit them by
clicking on a link below. Hyboria is the most well-devloped –
all are rather recent games, the earliest of the five being “The
League”, started in March 2002.

Ask
Not of Amber (ANoA): A new Amber Diceless
game set in a post-holocaust future that recalls not only W.
Gibon's words, but also distopic elements like Huxley's Brave
New World, Logan's Run and Zardoz. This is set to start in
Dec '02. I co-GM this with Mel Mason and Jason Fryer.

Hyborian
Age If you love Conan the barbarian,
this one is for you – follow the adventures of the Steel
Brotherhood across the Thurian Continent! Played using DND3E
rules. I co-GM this game with Allen Veazey.

Le
Bayou Infernale For Vampire fans, this
game is set in New Orleans. Set to begin in Oct/Nov of '02 using
a simplified version of the Vampire Quick Start rules available
free from White Wolf. I co-GM this game with Dawn.

The
League Based on the comic series “League
of Extraordinary Gentlemen” by Alan Moore, this is a
steampunk-style game set in turn-of-the-century Englad with
literary-esque charaters. Run using Atlas Games' “Feng
Shui” rules, it is probably more cerebral and
introspective than a typical Feng Shui game. This has been
running since March '02. My Assistant -GM is Mel Mason.

The
Secret War A branch-off game from The
League, this is a small, lean and mean standard-issue Feng Shui
kick-ass game for secret warriors who want to live large in the
tradition of John Carpenter's “Big Trouble in Little
China”, or any Tsui Hark or John Woo flick.

Arcadia
[1998-2001 concluded] My second pbem, it was
originally designed to mimic the setting of Dark Horse Comic's
“Ghost” but grew on it's own. Started off with
Fuzion rules, migrated (somewhat successfully) to Champions. It
was the first game where I had a team of players and characters
who gelled well together and it was a whole lot of fun. It was
also a tremendous learning experience...I made a lot of mistakes
and really mishandled the ending (never use reverse
time-manipulation!), but all in all a good time and great
stories. The web site still exists on Fortune City since they no
longer allow access to take down the things you put up (at least
in my case!).

Ancient
Boughs, Young Roots [1999-2002 concluded] Probably
the best game I've ever run with the exception of perhaps
Roaring Feng! I am not sure I'll ever see it's like again –
it began as a throne war among eight players and quickly grew by
word of mouth to be a huge and complex and beautiful tale
involving almost 20 players and over two dozen major PCs. Tears
were literally shed in this game, and the involvement nearly
killed it's GMs – it came to a bittersweet, but
well-written end in August '02. May it live on in our memories.
I was co-GM with Mel Mason, and assisted by Jenn Coe and Tomus
Cone. You can visit the older, first website here.

Destiny's
Road [2000 defunct] My first-ever pbem was an
Everway game – it died shortly in it's third month, but I
figured I'd try again with Destiny's Road...which turned out to
be another failure – mostly due to RL interference and a
poorly-conceived initial story. I drew it to a premature close.

Roaring
Feng! [2000-2001 concluded] My third successful
completed email campaign, this was a short run, just over a
year, based again on Feng Shui, but set in the pulp era of 1936
and taking place for the majority of it's first story arc in the
Himalayas – pitting the heroes against an ancient evil
sorceror who wanted to capture and sacrifice the young Perfect
Master. A second story arc was begun back in London, but this
was instead reincarnated into The League.
