I am a non degree Graduate student in the Teacher Certification program at MSU Bozeman finishing the Technology Enhancement.  In January 2005 I decided to also pursue a B.A. in Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS) with a minor in Native American Studies and Museum Studies.  I have A B.S. in Psychology and I have completed the course work for Secondary Education Social Studies broad field (grades 5-12) and Health Enhancement (grades K-12).

I am the mother of 2 boys and I have worked most of my adult life as a seasonal employee in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.  My hobbies include fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, photography and water color.   I played basketball in high school and college and I have coached both boys and girls basketball.  I am employed by Sports Facilities at MSU Bozeman as a Production Coordinator, which means I work with and supervise student employees setting up and tearing down events in the Field House and Football Stadium.

My Educational Philosophy

I learn best through experience so I take a hands on approach to instruction and try to create activity based lessons.  I believe that learning should be stimulating and fun whenever possible.  I like to use games and demonstrations to teach and evaluate concepts.  I am most interested in environmental education, environmentally safe technologies and youth at risk.   My career goal is to secure a full time permanent position with the NPS Outdoor Environmental Education program or as a visual arts specialist designing curriculum.
