We would love for you to visit us at Spell Hall!
Spell Hall: The Major General Nathanael Greene Homestead Museum Is Open Seasonally To The Public April 1st through October 31st
An easy way to remember: Spell Hall Opens each year on April Fool's Day and closes each year on Halloween If you plan to visit us in April or May, you should contact us in advance, because the Homestead Board of Directors holds its annual meeting each year in the spring and the museum will be closed to the public on that day---usually a Saturday.
Museum Weekly Hours: Wednesday and Saturday: 10:00am - 5:00pm and on Sunday: 1:00 pm - 5:00pm
Scheduling Group Tours: To pre-arrange larger or special group tours for adults & children, organizations & schools: call (401) 821-8630 For Tour Information or e-mail Gregg & Mary Mierka at: RIBatteryA@verizon.net for tour details, scheduling confirmation, number of adults needed per groups of children & our volume limitations of people allowed in the building.
Please keep in mind Spell Hall is an old and very fragile historic building. We cannot accommodate more than "20" people in Spell Hall at a time. Larger groups that cannot all fit in the building at the same time should select an extra or alternative rain date in case of light rain, hot or cold whether, as we have no other facility, other than Nathanael's 1770 house, to accommodate numbers of people beyond 20.
To responsibly preserve the future integrity of Spell Hall, which is one of America's most important historic locations. Also keep in mind: In cases of stormy or severe inclement weather we may be forced to close to the public or cancel pre-arranged group tours to prevent interior hardship or damage to the facility. Please call to be sure we are open for you on stormy, rainy or snowy forecasted days.
We also need to know in advance your group's time limitations so we can adjust our tour presentations to try our best to meet your needs.
