| The following rap songs were written by students in my music classes, grades 6, 7, & 8, for Jasper Middle School's HERO theme. Students were to write a poem and, using a rap rhythm from a keyboard, turn it into a rap song. |
| Monday-Friday, Period 3 We're gonna tell ya what a hero is. A veteran, a teacher, or a volunteer. They give their time to help others, Foe, friend, or even their brothers. Monday-Friday, Period 3 What are Heroes? Strong, courageous, caring and brave, They put others first in order to save. Just look around and you will see, Heroes, Heroes, they make us free. Monday-Friday, Period 3 Heroes strong and tough Dat dat dat dat dud u dud They're here to save the day (Hey) Courageous and Brave (pause, pause) Heroes, Heroes, Heroes Heroes They're smart and wise Heroes That's where you go (Heroes) If you need advice. Heroes That's what they are They're friendly and nice Heroes They've paid the price! Monday-Friday, Period 4 Heroes are people who take care of others, They take a bullet to protect our brothers. They risk their lives in order to save, Honest, caring, courageous, and brave. They help their country to be free, By volunteering as you can see. They're not selfish as you know, They will help you, wherever they go. Monday-Friday, Period 4 Heroes are strong They are where they belong They put out fires On the highest spires. They help the old Without being told They cut out crime So life is fine! They capture the capers So we can feel safer Heroes save Because they're brave! Monday-Friday, Period 6 Heroes - they are "Kool". "Cause they "ain't" no fools. Superwoman, she's in the sky, She's flyin' high and as strong as a guy. Do not fear, Superman is here. He's gonna save the day, In every single way. You can be a hero, too All you have to be is loyal and true! |
| Tuesday-Thursday, Period 4 Some heroes are big and strong, But they don't have to live very long. They must be courageous all day and night, And go against the gangs that they fight. In the face of danger they must be brave, Or they won't be able to save. He doesn't have to be well known, Only by the bravery shown. He will fight for the red, white, and blue, He will save me and you! Tuesday-Thursday, Period 4 Heroes, they stand brave...with an intention to save. Heroes, go out of their way...to save others day by day. Heroes, they are courageous, brave...they're not afraid. The world is full of heroes... And people who care...while other people stare... They move into action...a natural reaction... Most of us fear...and steer clear... Of problems that come along...this is a song... That tells about those who risk their lives... Not thinking about their husbands and wives... Heroes...take brave and daring stands... Whether they be woman or man... They fight for freedom...and save lives... They make us a true kingdom...and keep us alive. Heroes! Tuesday-Thursday, Period 6 Yo,...a hero is a person...willing to give... Up their life for you to live... While we were inside, playing our games, They were outside, putting out flames... To be a hero you have to be smart, To have generosity, and a good heart... Not a single hero has any fears, They make it so we don't shed tears. Monday-Friday, Period 4 Heroes Born of honesty and no lies Heroes are ev'ry shape and size. Heroes Endanger their lives They modestly help-no need to search the skies. Heroes Help as good men die They try to save as they hear the cries. Look over your shoulder and that is where, Heroes are hiding even though they care! Monday-Friday, Period 4 A hero is brave, They live to save They don't get paid, But they come to your aid. They take charge Because their hearts are large. Don't need to call They'll be there when you fall. They will be your friend Until they very end! Monday-Friday, Period 7 Heroes are - good and brave. On 9-11 some lives were saved. Heroes are around day and night, Tos ave in the right place at the right time. Many lives on 9-11 Went to the great heaven. Monday-Friday, Period 7 Heroes are the people that we trust and know, They'll be there for you wherever you go. Heroes are kind, they are our lifesavers, They come in many different flavors. Firemen, policemen, and volunteers, They will help for many years. So be sure that you mind, They'll be there for all mankind! |
