GCA Fight Rules

*The rules are simple, the match ends when the referee stops the match, a towel is thrown in, or when there is a submission or a knockout.

*There are 5 rounds of 4 minutes in length for Non Title fights. If there is no decision at the end of the 20 minutes, a panel of 3 judges will award a victor.

*Title Fights have a 30 minute time limit. The rounds are broken up into 5 rounds of 4 minutes. If there is no decisive finish, then there will be a 10 minute overtime round. If there is no decisive finish after overtime judges will award a victory.

*Scoring is based on damage inflicted, grappling dominance and ring agression

*Fighters are allowed to wear Gi tops and pants, but normal t-shirts and sweat pants are prohibited. Fighters can use their own gloves or they can use GCA supplied gloves. Fighters using their own gloves must have them checked before the fight to make sure they conform. Gloves are to be 4oz in weight. Wrestling shoes are allowed after they've been checked.

*There is to be no biting, no groin shots or eye gouging. There are to be no shots to the spine or manipulation of digits.

*If a GCA fight takes place in a GCA Ring, then if a fighter is down and any part of their anatomy is outside the ring, the referee will pause the fight, take both fighters to the middle and restart them in the same position. eg. If Fighter A is on top of Fighter B in a Mount. Then the referee will restart them in the middle in a Mount, not Guard.

*It is illegal to throw an opponent out of the ring

Fight Types

Standard This is a straight up, normal MMA fight.

Bangkok Rope Fight: This is a new fight option that GCA will utilize. Instead of gloves, the fighters will have rope tied around their hands. There will also be ropes wrapped around the shins. This is a very bloody and brutal fight and in Thailand, people have died in rope fights. This fight is banned in the US and will be used only on events in Canada and Asia

Taipei Death Match: This is another very brutal match and because of it's brutality, the Nevada and New Jersey State Athletic Commissions has made it illegal. Fighters will have their hands taped, then the taped hands are dipped in super glue; then the super glued taped hands are dipped into shards of broken glass. This fight for obvious reasons will not use much grappling so victory is achieved via KO/TKO only.

GCA Ring and Cage

GCA fights take place in one of two places. The primary venue is a Cage known as "The House of Pain," or "The Pentagon." The mat itself is a standard canvas similar to most boxing rings. The Pentagon is a 5 Sided structure with a Mesh Cage standing at 7 feet high, from right to left at the furthest points are 35 feet of distance. Fighters enter through a door on the top side of the Pentagon.

The GCA Ring is 35 feet by 35 feet in a perfect square. It is very similar in appearance to a Boxing Ring. The turnbuckles aren't segmented like wrestling but uniform like Boxing, Kickboxing, Pride, etc. There are 2 White corners that are neutral, 1 Gold Corner and 1 Black Corner. There are 4 ropes on each side with the colors from top to bottom being Gold, Black, Gold, Black. The ring mat is white.
