The Brain and The Mind

(Granger): Recognize that a human being is a spiritual creation in a physical body. And be aware that this arrangement is most unusual. We are not saying there are not other entities in similar conditions of consciousness in other planets or planes of life; we just want you to be aware of the very special arrangement here of the spirit and the physical in the human person.

The High-soul is the source of the energy supplied to the mind. This is not the brain; separate the brain from the mind. The mind is a spiritual or psychic creation, while the brain is physical. The mind needs the brain to function in the physical body; however, the mind is very capable of functioning outside the human body. I am, I think, an excellent example of that. You (the writer) could not be receiving this message, believe me, if it were not for other minds working outside the human physical body. We, I might add, feel none the less real since we dropped-off the old physical body. We enjoy life to the full. We want to reassure every person who may choose to read this statement. The human physical body is a beautiful vehicle for the personality, and worthy of being treated accordingly. You are privileged to have the experience of physical life. Expand and develop through the use of mind and body at every opportunity. Let not the sun go down any day without having learned and enjoyed something new and fresh.

Physical life in the earth was intended to be enjoyed. It was not intended to be a boring or dull experience, as so many people find it to be. We want to emphasize the need for energy to be expended into life. Watch a baby for a day. Watch the way babies absorb all the vital information available to them. Look at the effort they make to participate in the life around them. They enjoy themselves, or else make everyone aware they are not enjoying themselves. There are no bored babies! Now of course we do not want everyone to start crying at the same time. The sound of all the bored people on earth crying at once would be too much to comprehend. But we do want to make a point. There is so much in the earth, freely given to be enjoyed, yet so many people walk by it all without even a thought. We think that is sad indeed.
