Glen Seals Denied Right To Prove Innocence
Before trial, the State provided almost nothing to Mr. Seals' defense team. Pre-trial and repeatedly throughout the trial itself, the defense sought to obtain information concerning a variety of key pieces of evidence. The defense was consistently thwarted in its attempts to obtain and examine materials and to determine who attended the crime scene, who gathered what evidence, what tests were requested or obtained and by whom, and the results of these tests. The State hid and misrepresented this important information that would have made a dramatic difference in the outcome of Mr. Seals' trial.
Such conduct by police and prosectutors is unconscionable and prohibited.
