Simply train the program to understand your scanner by scanning any barcode. Then you can make the program perform different tasks based on the type of barcode that is scanned.
Open web pages, launch programs, store data to files, pass the data through like keystrokes, save the data up in the clipboard. Do one, do all, do any combination of tasks on a single scan!
