JONATHAN Peris Jones celebrated his switch to striker by hitting a hat-trick as the Bodorgan boys coasted to a comfortable Huws Gray Cymru Alliance win.

And the long established defender was in the thick of things throughout the one sided match at windswept Glantraeth where the hosts were on top throughout apart from a six minute spell early in the opening half.

Richard F. Owen put a 20 yard free kick inches past the angle in the first minute, with Dylan James and Stuart Fraser firing wide in quick breaks for the visitors, while keeper Gareth O.J. Roberts' only slice of the action in the whole match came on14 minutes when he comfortably held a Chris Wilkins effort.

The opening goal came on 25 minutes after Emyr Rowlands linked with Paul Rowlands to find Jones five yards out and he had time to take a touch and then blast home.

The second came six minutes later when a Chris Saxon cross was headed to Jones by defender Llyr Hughes, and the unmarked Glantraeth hit man headed home from five yards.

Ashley Stephens almost sliced a cross from Gareth Wyn Roberts into his own net on 32 minutes as the visitors were pegged back despite having wind advantage.

The third came when Jones was felled in the area by Graham Thomas and he picked himself up to blast the resultant spot kick home to complete his hat-trick.

Jones was hungry for more goals and was only inches over the target with a free kick from the edge of the area five minutes into the second period.

The fourth duly came along on 57 minutes when a long high free kick from Owen found Saxon to the right of the visiting goal and he put a looping eight yard header over keeper Kevin Jenkins into the far corner.

Peris Jones was fractionally wide of the upright with a thirty yard free kick eight minutes later, while Jenkins saved superbly to deny Saxon's ten yard strike on 68 minutes.

Glantraeth were totally dominant and Peris Jones had a shot blocked on the line and Gerallt Jones put a great chance wide from ten yards, before heading a Jon Peris Jones cross at Jenkins late on.
