Check LAUH Yahoo Groups page for current information, dates & times.

Underwater Hockey is a unique three dimensional sport which combines the basic game of Hockey with the underwater skills of Skin Diving. It is played on the bottom of a swimming pool using fins, mask, snorkel, a short handheld hockey stick, glove and protective ear guards. Those who typically thrive on the game often don't march lock and step with popular culture and appreciate life outside the "mainstream".

Underwater hockey is very much like other court-type sports like basketball, soccer, and ice-hockey in terms of strategy, with one notable exception: you can't breathe. Well, you can breathe some, as you spend moments on the surface prior to diving into the play. Underwater hockey is usually played in 6 to 8 foot deep water, with a three-pound lead puck that is covered in plastic so it slides easily on most pool bottoms.

We actively encourage everyone to come out and join us! We love to teach new players and would love for you to come play!
