faerielands

In Rivendell, in Elvenhome,
There the pale starlight shone,
And many a host both fair and young,
Raised their voice in Elven song.

But where now do the fair folk dwell,
Who long ago left Rivendell,
To travel leagues across sea and foam,
To come at last to Elvenhome?

Do the starlight they still command,
That twinkles bright in Faerieland,
And in the forest, do they still sing,
Of Elven and of Faery king?

Far across the sea they've sailed,
And here the starlight now is paled,
That shines upon these darkened lands,
Where dwell the children now of man.
