15 weeks along--one week til I'm 4 months!

Okay, I've definitely grown this week. Not only out but to the side.  You see, I've realized I've been growing hipwise for a few weeks now (that's why you can't tell much growth from the belly gallery, but why I can't fit into any pants anymore. )  I even heard it from a kid at school the other day: "Mrs. Culver, you're getting wide!"
Thanks kid.
(PS Everyone keeps saying when you are going out to the side--or all around-- like I am, that means it's a girl...)

In Baby Development, this is what is going on with our baby this past week:
"
You can see the blood vessels beneath the skin. (No I can't. I can't see my baby at all! Heh. Which makes me think, how lucky are we all that we can't see through our bellies like it's a window in a stove, to check on the progress. I'm sure we would all be horrified for the first six months of pregnancy...) The heart is pumping 25 quarts of blood a day, which will increase to 300 at birth. Hair continues growing this week on the head and on the eyebrows (this kid doesn't have a chance in the eyebrow department. Let's go ahead and call it Groucho)this week.

According to the "books" and the "internet", this is what I should be going through:
"You may want to start investing in some maternity clothes, as you may start to notice that your clothes are getting tight and uncomfortable." (Ya Think???) Another thing you may be feeling is scatterbrained. Even the most organized woman reports that pregnancy makes them forgetful, clumsy and unable to concentrate.(I hear that.)

Cravings and Whatnot
The thing this week has been Chinese food. I have been to Ming's Garden twice this week.  The first night I got the Mongolian Beef, Egg Drop soup, and an eggroll.  Last night, with Cindy, I got Pepper Beef, Egg Drop soup, and two eggrolls.  I've decided the Pepper Beef is yuck. Next time, I'll go back to the Mongolian Beef. I hate ordering new things.

WINE???
I have been astounded to discover that many doctors recommend a pregnant woman late in her third trimester drink a glass of wine every night before bed.  I found this out because a sister of a woman at the nail place couldn't sleep at night (because of the baby's constant kicking and moving) and the doctor (one of the ones at my practice) told her to drink wine before bed. "It will relax the baby."
Hmm. I asked around and others have echoed this.  I can't wait til 3rd trimester!  Junior's gonna get snockered!!!

I wish Whoopi Goldberg hadn't been named Corrina in that movie by the same name. I like that name. She ruined it.  The song by Dylan (Bob) was cool too. Chris nixed it this morning in bed. "That's that movie about Whoopi."
Oh well.

Those movements I felt last week? Pretty sure it was a)stretching or b)gas.  Other mothers have weighed in with their opinions on this.  I'll let you know when I feel the real thing.
Until then, Merry Christmas everyone!
Drink some wine for me...as of right now I can only lift Chris's glass up (a wedding gift I might add) and sniff.
