Recent News
I've done a fairly poor job of keeping up my LiveJournal since completing NaNoWriMo. Lately I've busied myself with three knitting projects (2 scarves and a blanket), and a crash course in CSS to better my web design skills. John has been a huge help with that last task in particular. Otherwise, it's been the usual day-to-day. This version of the website is new for 2007, and my first attempt with CSS. For now I'm happy with it.

Location:
I've lived in Northern VA since mid-1975 and I am currently a Loudoun County resident. Loudoun lured me from Fairfax because it was cheaper at the time, and Loudoun wasn't cutting down every tree to erect a building in its place. Loudoun has since taken the Fairfax stance, and is destroying everything that was wonderful about living here. Way to go, Loudoun.
Personality, Who I am, Quirks, Etc.:
Sarcastic. Musically inclined (guitar and some piano), though time and inspiration impaired when it comes to playing. Currently my spare time is spent writing, reading, knitting, learning CSS, and spending as much free time with John.
Musical Interests:
On the iPod are Toad The Wet Sprocket, Lapdog, or Glen Phillips. When trying to cut down on my Toad obsession I enjoy anything from Darude, Cold Play, Jeff Buckley and Duncan Shiek to Depeche Mode, Jeremy Soule, or The Rogues.
Some other loves and likes:
Harry Potter; Firefly/Serenity; BtVS/AtS; Witchblade the Series; Star Trek - partial to TNG, but open to the rest of the series; Renaissance Festivals; the original Star Wars trilogy; digital photography; Bookstores; Road Trips; Oblivion for XBOX.
