Giddy Up 'n' Go Summer Horse Camp is a five-day horse experience for kids ages 6 to 10. It will be held at Lone Star Stables in Helotes, Texas- just five minutes outside of San Antonio. For five days, from nine in the morning til 12 noon, three instructors will provide lessons in horse care, riding, different types of horses.. not to mention a fun day camp complete with projects, snacktime, and lots of neat activities- all having to do with horses!

As with all Equine-Related Activities, there are certain risks involved. Each camper will have their own helmet and will wear it all all times when on the horse or in the roundpen. We ARE NOT liable for any possible injuries to your child! More information and release forms will be given to you at the time of sign-up.

Who Should Attend Giddy Up 'n' Go? Any horse-crazy kid from ages 6 to 10! No previous experience is necessary - in fact, almost all of our activities and lessons will be directed towards the beginner. The one prerequisite? Campers will need a desire to learn about horses and horse care.

When Is It? June 24th - 28th, from 9 am to 12:00 noon. If you fill out our feedback form or get in touch with us with one of the contacts, we will be able to relay registration forms to you ASAP. We ask that all campers be registered by June 15th, 2002. Space is extremely limited- five or six campers, maximum!

What Will I Learn If I Attend? The answer? TONS! Everyday will be a new chance to learn along side campers your age and instructors who love what they're doing. You'll discover the wide world of horses with Lauren, our Ground Presentor. You'll learn how to groom, bathe, and saddle a horse, and the basics of horse care. By the time you leave on Friday you'll be able to ride a horse at (at the very least) a walk, to stop, to turn, and to guide a horse over obstacles like groundpoles. Not to mention you'll make some great friends, too!

What's the Cost? $150 for five fun-filled days of horse experience. We ask that you provide your own bike or riding helmet, but if you cannot, a $15 rental charge will guarentee your child a helmet for the week.
