As most of you's already know, Caner and I had met online over a year ago. When we met online, it was by sure fate. I can remember from this day when Caner messaged me. I can't recall the exact words that he had written me, but I do remember the embrass that I felt, as if I had known him forever. He words alive, truthful and sincere. As our relationship progressed we found ourselves wanting to be with each other every spare minute we had together.
It was very snowy, freary day here in Canada when Caner and I were speaking online and he had told me that he was unable to come to Canada..my heart sank. Caner and I were very upset over this, as we wanted to see each other very much. Caner felt how upset I was and he called me. I couldn't hold my true emotions in that night, because I wouldn't accept that we wouldn't meet. His kind words, his caring ways made me realize that I was in love with him. I never questioned my love for him, or asked myself how this could be. Because my heart, my soul captured the depths of my love for him, and it was that night that I told him that I loved him. Even through tears of being unhappy because Caner wasn't able to come to Canada at the time, I knew inside that we would be together.
So, in February 1999 I flew to Turkey to meet the man that I love so dearly. Many of friends werevery concerned about me going into a foreign country to meet a man I have never met before in my life. Regardless of what my friends had said to me or what I heard from people's stories.. ex: "Not without my daughter" and I'm sure you's probably know the story behind that. Caner and I had many good laughs over this. He would say to me, "Tell them we sell Canadian women or we eat them" haha :)) I still laugh from this day. Caner always had a way of making me laugh, making me feel at peace. So, without a doubt of going into a foreign country, I followed my heart, my soul and went to be with him. The night that I arrived into Turkey after a very long long flight, I was greeted at the custom doors by his friend "Okan". He was very friendly and welcome me with open arms and a warm smile. Then he brought me to Caner :)))
I was nervous untill I seen Caner for the first time. When I looked in his eyes and seen his sweet smile it was as if I was in heaven and I knew from that moment that the love I felt for him was true and very real. Now for the good part! hahah lol
First of all let me say this "Okan? I still have my back seat driver license!" hahaha :)))) I have to tell you's about this.. Okan was driving us back to Caner's place and he scared me half to death!! He was like a mad man driving!! hahaha. Acouple times I thought my heart was coming through my throat! hahaah lol.. We still laugh about this when we see each other because it was very funny with my expressions and actions that night haha :))
Now on to the good part hahaha lol.. I didn't think that Caner was that nervous about meeting me for the first time.. well! Little did I know untill we got to his place. WE sat in the living room, eating pizza and drinking some coke. Caner reached over to put something on my plate I believe, and he spilled the coke all over me. He was so embassed and couldn't believe that he had done this. So, I got up and changed my clothes. When I returned he was still apologising, but that was fine with me. For the next hour it seems Caner was spilling everything around us, or knocking something over hahaha lol. Babe? I am smiling as I am writing this :)))) I love you kisss :)(:
In three weeks that I was there, Caner showed me Ankara, Kemer where he likes to go diving.. And I had the pleasure of meeting his family and friends. I've seen such beauty in Turkey. I was so breath taken by the beauty. If any of you's that are reading this page, I suggest if you ever want to visit or just go on vacation? Visit Turkey and you will see for yourself the beauty in the country. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. One night Caner and I decided to go out for dinner, and we ate at the castle in Ankara. Beautiful place. "A must SEE if ever in Ankara". The evening was so entertaining even after we left hahah.. I wanted to find a place to dance. Basically wanting to see what the clubs were like in Ankara, if there anything like the clubs in Canada. Well, we tried a few clubs and we couldn't get in, all were full. I was disappointed, untill Caner said "I remember a place, but I haven't been there for over three years". So we went there and went into the bar. As soon as I walked in I noticed something very strange, and Caner and I took a place by the bar and ordered a beer. I leaned towards Caner and said "Babe? I think this place is a Gay Bar" hahahaha LOL. We drank our beer fast and left. And all we could do was laugh hard. Well the next day his friend Hakan, a very good friend of him, came over and Caner mentioned to him where we had gone. And Hakan said "You didn't take Celeste to a gay bar!?!" hahaha Caner said "I didn't know it was one!" hahaha lol. Everytime I think back to this night, again I have to laugh. So, as you can see, our time in Turkey was very interesting and very entertaining hahaha lol.
The three weeks that I was in there seemed to of passed so quickly and it was time for me to go back to Canada. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. After a few months after I go back to Canada, I went back to Turkey to be with Caner. Those months without him seemed like an eternity. And those who know how Caner and I feel, know exactly how hard it is when you're apart and all you want to do is reach out and for one brief moment is touch your love. I was able to see more scenery, and we took a trip to a famous place called "Capadocia" where Caner and I travel by foot to se the most beautiful wonders of the world. I seen the "Underground City" where Caner and I had the most fun hahaha. Let me tell you what happened. As we were going through the cave, the tunnels leading into the caves became smaller and smaller and it was a chore to basically crawl through these tunnels. By the time we got down about 4 miles down into sea level. I stopped in the middle of the tunnel we were crawling through and couldn't stop laughing. "Why?" you ask hahaha, because Caner was leading me by my hand amd hahahaha when I looked up, all I could see in front my eyes was his "butt!!" hahahahaah LOL. Babe!! Eveytime I think of this, it makes me laugh!! kissss :)(: So, anyways, back on track here hahaha. It took a little time for us to get out of that tunnel! lol.
From there we explored the mountain caves with the tourists and the day was extreemly hot, and Caner always made sure that I had plenty of water, because he knew that I wasn't used to high heat temperatures. And anyone that is reading this and from Canada, you know our summer months don't reach no more than 34C, it was about 45C in Cappadocia. Sooo.. as we continued to move along the trails eveyone was following, we decided to go into a group where tour guide was leading about 6 people and explaining the detail worked that was on the walls in one of the caves.. hmmm.. Interesting Tour Guide!! hahah lol. Remember babe? We followed them for a while then decided to trail off by ourselves and see what we could find. And guess what we have found!! A CAMEL!! hahaha. I was so excited. I have never seen a camel before in my life, other than books, tv etc.. So, to see one this close I was like a child with its new toy! hahha. Right away I said to Caner "I want to ride him" hahaha LOL. Caner smiled and said "Sure babe, you can ride him!" hahah. Although I was excited to ride the camel, I found myself being anxious because this animal was HUGE when you were on it! hahahaha. So, if anyone out there ever comes across a camel, Go for it!! IT'S FUN!! LOL
I am trying to make this story as short as I can, but finding it gets longer and longer everytime I write. Because there is so much to tell. So please have patience while reading. Thank you.
It was my last trip over that Caner and I decided on marriage, within our hearts we knew that we wanted to be together. I can still recall when Caner and I and his mother sat in the lounge of the Hotel Patalya. She was very happy for us, but yet at the same time she was sad because her son will be going off to another country to be with his wife. And when I seen her cry, my heart filled up and starting crying also. Caner put his arm around me.. comforting me, and his mother said "Caner? I made Celeste cry!".. It was not so much that I was crying, it was because when I seen mom cry, I could feel her.. feel her happiness and her sadness and her love that she had for us. So as the story goes.. Caner and I set a date in August this year to be married, but we ended up delaying the wedding due to certain circumstances beyond our control. But now! OUR WEDDING DATE IS COMING IN FULL FORSE! And this is the happiest time of our lifes. :)))
