Digimon: The Movie Reviews
Digimon: The Movie was released to theatres on October 6, 2000. The movie combined the original 3 Japanese movies into a single American release. A total of 30 minutes was lost in the conversion for American audiences, but in doing so they created a fluid movie that almost appeared seamless in its transition between sections.
Although the animation style was considerably different from the Saturday morning television show, the plot and non-stop action easily made up for the difference. For those not familiar with the show, they provided enough background within the movie to allow for new Digi-Fans to follow with little to no confusion.
