Hello everyone, and welcome to the temporary home for Roster Development Group, my creation for the construction of roster projects for sports simulations. At present, baseball is the focus, but plans for football and hockey projects are in the works for when .400 Software Studios releases its football and hockey games later this year.
Below are updates for the two main projects currently being worked on.

TotalMinors For OOTP5:
OOTP5 developer Markus Heinsohn asked me to develop the original fictional players for the release of the game. On Feb. 28, I issued a beta version of TotalMinors, the latest version of my popular roster work from the High Heat Baseball series. This gave OOTP players, on the day of the game's release, real Major League players with which to play, as well as each team's top 10 prospects as rated by Baseball America, and several other prospects for a total of at least 45 players per team.

TotalMinors v1 is HERE
-- Player ratings based on my formulas, factoring 3 years of stats, trends, accurate R/L splits and predictions of potential for minor leaguers.
-- Real mangers, coaches, minor league managers and affiliates
-- Real stadium names
-- Adjusted speed, arm, range and stealing ratings
-- Each player on a team's 40-man roster as of the end of February
-- Updated transactions
-- Correct uniform #s for most players on the 40-man rosters
-- Corrected schedule file

Eventual Additions include:
-- Each team's top 30 prospects
-- Full minor leagues
-- Correct rotations, lineups
-- Contract adjustments (though OOTP is not made to work with real MLB salaries, a closer correlation can certainly be attained than exists currently).
-- Continued updated transactions through opening day
-- Park factor and manager tendency adjustments

All-time Roster Project:

Some people have asked about this project recently. It is still being developed, but comes behind the real rosters for the simple reason that real rosters are more time sensitive than what this project would be. But there will be 28 teams (the 26 before the recent expansion squads, one from the latest 4 expansion teams combined, and one from Negro Leaguers). Negro League players, Japanese stars and possibly even minor league historical stars will be included as well. Basically, this project is designed to bring baseball history together, each franchise's best players merging into one universe. After TotalMinors is released for OOTP5, work on the All-Time Project will continue.

Donationware:

Let me preface this by saying that nothing is "expected" and future work is not contingent on any sum of donations. However, this roster work takes literally a few hundred hours to do thoroughly. I enjoy the projects, I truly do, and I am fully aware that as a third-party developer I can't charge for my work (and would never dream of doing so). This isn't an obligation or demand or any such thing. It's simply a way for me to try and recoup money spent on books and such for research for the project, as well as to make a little money on the side doing something I enjoy.
People in the past have told me though that they would gladly contribute some monetary contribution for my past, current and hopefully future efforts. If you enjoy my work enough to feel like making a contribution, you may do so via the link below. If you don't feel making such a contribution is warranted or appropriate, then don't. I completely understand that many don't feel third-party developers should profit. My only response to that is that this is work, and it is a significant amount of time. Hopefully the product that results from those efforts is one you thoroughly enjoy, as that is the ultimate goal.
Contributions won't be publicized and this isn't something I will be harping on. It's just something I'm doing. Any donation, big or small, will be much appreciated. And whether you donate or not, enjoy and have fun!

Thanks again for your support.
