AARDVARK
INFORMATION
CENTRAL

"AARDVARK: A burrowing mammal (Orycteropus afer) of southern Africa, having a stocky, hairy body, large ears, a long tubular snout, and powerful digging claws."

Some Aardvark Trivialities

These delicious little creatures are charming long snouted things with silly long ears, monsterous claws and a funny tail. These mammals scurry along the ground mostly at night, live in burrows, and eat ants. They eat quite a lot of ants actually, although strangely enough, they're not catagorized by the Zoology fraternity as 'Anteaters'. I'm afaid there seems to be a spot of confusion here. C'mon chaps, get on line! They eat ants and termites, and have long tongues that ants will stick to. I think its time that they should be brought into the Anteater brotherhood.

More Aardvarkisms

These cuddly animals are, nevertheless, refered to as Anteaters, but quite often, also as Antbears. I'm afraid this ANT reference is a bit of a dead giveaway as to its habit of haunting and penetrating termite hills with its vacuum cleaner like protrusion and devouring mouthfuls of creepy crawly insects for its own sustainance. I dont know if they have evolved the intellect to drink tea, but one has to say that one just cant be certain. These marvellous snouts, designed to infiltrate an Ants Nest, could ever so easily double as a Tea Stirrer. Or maybe even a Tea Snorter...
I think its only just a matter of time...

George.
