What is 4-H?

4-H is a volunteer-led organization that reaches boys and girls through small groups called clubs. 4-H members have fun, meet new people, learn new lifeskills, build self-confidence, learn responsibility, and set and achieve goals. Youth learn by doing. 4-H builds the leaders of tomorrow!

Who can join 4-H?

Ages vary state-to-state, but in Maryland, 4-H is for all boys and girls ages 5-18. Members younger than 8 are called Clovers. They do many of the same types of things as the older members.

4-H Projects

4-H members decide for themselves which of the more than 100 projects they want to learn more about. For a complete list of projects in Maryland, click here.

4-H Colors
