GEORGE RAY'S WILDCAT HOT ROD
                           DRAGSTRIP
Heads-up drag racing since 1961, located in NE Arkansas...Paragould,AR
Painting by Joel Naprstek
George Ray built his heads-up only dragstrip, in Paragould, Ar.
Opened in November of 1961, the all-concrete track was
originally a quarter-miler, then a 1000 footer and presently runs
1/8th mile only.  The shutdown area is 1500 feet.  Racing
starts the first Sunday in March and continues thru the third
Sunday in October.  2003 wil be the start of the 43rd season of
racing.  The first season, albeit short, was Nov/Dec of 1961.
We race trophy classes and money classes.  There IS NO ENTRY
FEE to race.  You pay to watch the races and get to race for free.
George has been featured on ESPN2's INSIDE DRAG RACING,
DRAG NEWS, Jan. 2001 issue of Hot Rod magazine and in 2002,           TNN's HORSEPOWER TV.  The response each time  a show was aired   has been incredible.
If you would like to talk to George, his phone number is
870-236-8247 and he's usually up during the daylight hours.
