My name is Lori Palka. I am a third grade teacher at Anna B. Pratt Elementary School in the Philadelphia School District. This homepage is very useful for teachers in the elementary school to reinforce health and nutrition to their students. The first health standard in the Philadelphia Curriculum is Decision Making - Develop the ability to make personal decisions to prevent disease and promote healthful living practices through out life. Students may participate in the Cyber Food Shopper. In the Cyber Food Shopper, students decide what to buy in the five food groups, that are low in fat, without spending more than $5.00.
