About me...

I grew up on the Central Coast of California attending schools in Santa Maria including Allan Hancock College. I attended UC Berkeley and Sonoma State University where I received a B.A. in English. I earned a Master's in Education from California State University, Hayward (now CSU, East Bay -- but it will always be Hayward to me).

I currently work at College of the Redwoods as the Director of Instructional Design. I live in Eureka, CA with my spouse, Jacqui, who is also committed to living life fearlessly as a bold experiment. She is here to teach English at College of the Redwoods and to teach online for Tacoma Community College..

I write poetry, fiction, drama, and screenplays, and I am forever working on my next novel. I was a former writer and editor for SCAM Magazine and a winner of the 1999 Santa Barbara Independent Summer Fiction contest.
