DEAR ANCESTORS

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestors, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come and visit you.

Hi! I'm AlecSandra Rose Bihlmaier.
I am doing some geneological research and will post my family tree and findings here. I was named Sandra Ellen Barrett at birth but chose a new name a few years ago. With my new name, I am honoring my grandmothers, by using Rose, which was my paternal grandmother's middle name and Bihlmaier, which is my maternal grandmother's maiden name.
I am researching the Barrett and Loebrich lines from my family. As I come across the other names I will add them to my list.

The beginning of my search is with my parents and siblings.

My lineage from Cyrus BARRETT to myself is here.

My lineage on the LOEBRICH side is long and extensive and I will put a link here as soon as I'm ready for the public to see it. :)

NAMES:

BARRETT, LOEBRICH....others will be added shortly...be patient!!

Please come back soon and visit me.
