In 1832, Chief Black Hawk along with approximately 1000 of his people later known as the "British Band", decided to re-enter Illinois from Iowa. This action was in violation of treaties previously agreed upon by the Sauk & Fox Nations. Chief Black Hawk has refused to return to his own land and war has now broken out between the good citizens of Illinois and Chief Black Hawks British Band!
