1. What are they?

Affiliate Programs (occasionally referred to as Associate Programs) are created by companies and individuals to increase sales of their products or services online. In return for marketing their goods using text and image links you receive a commission on transactions. The amount you receive varies with each merchant.

2. What are the different types of program?

Because the varied types of goods and services available on the Internet merchants choose from a number of affiliate program types, some will use more than one to achieve different objectives.

Advertising (CPM)

This is the easiest type of program. You simply get paid to display banners on your site. The rate varies, but is always based on a thousand impressions. i.e. you receive zyx for every thousand banners you display across your site (known as impression), regardless of how many people actually click the banners.

Pay Per Click (PPC)

You simply show a banner or link on your site . Every time someone visits the merchants site by clicking the link, your receive a payment or a few cents/pence. This is very popular with affiliates and it's the easiest way to earn money from a site, however few will earn a living from participating in PPC alone.

Pay Per Sale (PPS)

You receive a commission on sales made as a result of your visitors going to the merchants site and making a purchase.

Pay Per Lead (PPL)

You receive a commission everytime you generate a lead for the merchant. These type of programs are very under rated. They work great for us.

Two Tier

These are simply affiliate programs that offer you an addition income for referring other webmasters to them. This can be a single fee when the webmaster joins the program, a small commission bonus on their sales or BOTH

3. How much are they to join?

Nothing. All affiliate programs are FREE to join and participate in.

4. Will they really work for you?

There's no such thing as a sure thing, but all of the affiliate programs featured on money index have the potential to generate money for a web site. We participate in every type of Affiliate Program and if it doesn't work - we'll tell you.

There are a number of factors that will affect your level of success. Here are some to consider:

1. The most important is site traffic.

2. Pick programs relevant to your site content.

3. The types of links you use - Banners, buttons or text.

4. How much work you put into a program.

5. How do I know I'll get paid?

In Money Index and our another web sites we usa them and check them for if they don't work we throw them away.

6. What are the secrets to my success?

Follow the tips you find on lots of sites and you must not cheat.Also, most merchants will provide you with support through an email newsletter. Read them & follow the instructions. Often the merchant sees the bigger picture of what works and what doesn't.
