Haggis' Cards and Comics News©
Welcome to Haggis Cards and Comics. As you will notice, my main areas of interest are Spider-Man comics, hockey cards & football cards. There are other areas of interest though, so don't just leave if you're not into Spiderman, football cards or hockey cards. Check out the site first.

Spider-Man: I've been a Spider-man fan for as long as I can remember. My oldest brother read Spidey books and I took over where he left off. Unfortunately, I gave my huge collection away when my family moved when I was 10. I figured it was time for me to stop reading comic books. Oops. Several years later, I find myself into them again. I actually started getting back into it in 1992 when the "Death of Superman" storyline emerged. I also picked up an issue of Spidey, and was instantly hooked again. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to regain my lost collection of Spiderman books. Check out my Spiderman buy/sell/trade lists.

Hockey Cards and Football Cards:  I collected sports cards when I was a kid, too. I have no idea where most of these cards are now. I think my brother has them at his mother-in-laws house. I still think I had a Gretzky rookie... Anyway, I started getting back into hockey cards in 1994, mostly only collecting Upper Deck. I haven't really kept up with the hobby, though, since the cards seem to get more expensive every year. I'd like to find some people to trade with, as I have a ton of duplicate hockey cards I'd like to get rid of. As far as football cards, I just started getting back into them in 1999. Being a Rams fan, I had to get Warner's RC. Of course, once I got that, I started getting into the other players. I'm sure this will start to rival my interest in hockey cards in the coming years. Check out my football card list.

What's Happening With Spidey?

Sorry about the old scan - haven't had time to update it yet. I am soooo far behind (as you can tell below - movie's been out on dvd for ages now)! Hopefully will update this page sometime this year!!!

Spider-Man Movie News:
In theaters May, 2002!!

The villains were supposedly going to be the Green Goblin & Doc Ock, but there's no mention of Doc Ock on the movie site.

Cast
Spider-Man: Tobey Maguire
Green Goblin: Willem Dafoe
Mary Jane: Kirsten Dunst
Harry Osborne: James Franco
Aunt May: Rosemary Harris
Uncle Ben: Cliff Robertson
JJJ: J.K. Simmons

Not sure who Tobey Maguire is? He's the guy that was in Pleasantville.  After seeing that flick, I think it's a pretty good choice.

Initial reports were that Spiderman won't have web-shooters, but shoot webs naturally.  I haven't heard much on this rumor lately, and have a feeling that they may opt for the web-shooters. I hope so! Please let me know if you have any more info on the Spidey movie, so I can post it on the site.

Can't find what you're looking for???
