MLB 2004 Predictions

AL East

1. Boston Red Sox...Improved pitching, defense, and some great offense
2. New York Yankees...Better offense but their pitchers can have some big injuries waiting to happen
3. Toronto Blue Jays...Good pitching...not good enough
4. Baltimore Orioles....They forgot about their pitching in the offseason
5. Tampa Bay Devil Rays...Go Tino Martinez!

AL Central

1. ChicagoWhite Sox...They are good but won't make it further than first place in the division
2. Kansas City Royals...Not yet Carlos Pena
3. Minnesota Twins...They said bye to LaTroy Hawkins and Eddie Guardado in the offseason.
4. Detroit Tigers....Jason Johnson and Rodriguez will help them out of last place.
5. Cleveland Indians...They aren't going anywhere

AL West

1. Anahiem Angels...Vlad, Colon, and Escobar...they got it good
2. Oakland Athletics...You can always count on Billy Beane when the time is right
3. Seattle Mariners...Some great acquisitions but the Angels were better
4. Texas Rangers....Right where they belong

NL East

1. Philadelphia Phillies...They loaded up this offseason
2. Atlanta Braves...Their long run has come to an end
3. Florida Marlins...They will miss Lee
4. New York Mets...Hopefully Kaz will give them some light and Glavine can pitch better
5. Montreal Expos...Going nowhere

NL Central

1. Chicago Cubs...LaTroy Hawkins added to an already great pitching staff
2. Houston Astros...They got Pettitte and Clemens but lost Wagner.
3. St. Louis Cardinals...Still not good enough
4. Pittsburgh Pirates...They will lose again
5. Milwaukee Brewers...And they will lose too
6. Cincinatti Reds...Oh, and I almost forgot, they will lose too

NL West

1. San Francisco Giants...Barry Bonds will be fine
2. Los Angeles Dodgers...They still can't hit
3. Arizona Diamondbacks...Randy Johnson is getting lonely
4. San Diego Padres...A little better but definetly not there yet.
5. Colorado Rockies...Todd Helton, Shawn Chacon, Larry Walker, nobody else.
