Welcome to this motorsport website. This site has information on the Trials World Championship and the Formula One world.
In 1997 the Isle of Man played host to the Trials Des Nations. The event was organised and run by the Peveril MCC. Run over on day, the event was won by the Britsh team and the individual competition was won by the Manx man Steve Colley.
The next event the island hosted was the British round of the FIM World Championships. Another fantastic event held by the Peveril Club. The two past events were so good the island hosted the second round of the World Championships in May of 2002. Island resident Dougie Lampkin just recently won his sixth outdoor title. The 2002 season was a close run thing with Fujinami not far behind Lampkin by the end. |

Well, as the Outdoor season got underway in Ireland Dougie Lampkin made a winning start to this years campaign. He claimed victory on the second day and from then on he has not relinquished the lead of the championship. Unfortunalty Doug has not won every round but has had his share. His lowest position this year was a fourth place in the latest round in Germany. The second day saw the Sherco Team claim their first victory in a while with Graham "Grimbo" Jarvis roaring to top of the podium!
Lampkin has a very narrow lead over Fujinami in the championship and it is looking to be a very close battle lined up for the rest of the year. |
