First here is a picture he drew for Ms. Weaver's "This is Me" page about what animal he relates to. He heard "animal" and drew a farm, he loves farms! So here is the description: That is an elephant off to the far left drinking water... I guess he couldn't fit on the page! There is a chicken in the barn loft and then, of course, a cow, dog and pig. In the front row that is a lamb, horse and cat. BUT can you find the raccoon??? Look to the very right of the page it is the tiny pen mark along the side of the paper!! LOL, I guess that is just his cheek.

Monticello, this was an art project. He made the dome look "stepped" only b/c of the resolution the picture printed out makes it look that way! He did get mad that he drew the collums on the porch FIRST, b/c then he had to figure out how to get the door in there.

His Self Portrait! He always seems to be in a hurry these days to do something else. I am working on slowing him down. I say this b/c this is not his best work. I have seen him draw better pictures of people, and he colors much nicer!! He likes to make the check marks when he finishes too.

Phonics. He does much better if he can see the word, not just hear the sounds. I draw the line between his name and date too, this helps him write his name small enough to fit.

History. After a lesson where we talked about the globe he was supposed to draw a picture about something in the lesson he liked. Well, he is a big fan of the Thunderbirds (thanks to Grandpa!) so he drew this picture and did the countdown to their ship taking off. The picture did not scan well, so I doodled over it with the computer pain brush to make it stand out better until you see the real thing.

Sample of his name.

Math. Here is one of the many assessments we did for this before/after and first/last problem. And it is a problem! Still working with maniputlatives here, he still gets thrown when they are lined up right to left.
