| Without a doubt Gavin DeGraw is one of the most dynamic new talents to appear on the music scene in years. This upper state New York native has gained thousands of fans with his edgy, honest voice and his soulful piano. From a young age, Gavin semed to be destined for a future in music. His family was extremely musical and Gavin was raised on classic artists such as the Beatles and Billy Joel. After a brief stint at the Berklee School of Music, Gavin moved to New York City. He soon became a huge hit at the city's clubs and bars and was soon a househld name in New York. After turning down a contract to continue playing live shows, Gavin was discovered and signed by music mogul Clive Davis. His debut album Chariot was received with great acclaim and has remained on the Billboard Heatseekers chart since its July 2003 release. Gavin gained greater exposure when his single I Don't Wanna Be was selected to be the theme song for the hit WB Show One Tree Hill. Gavin is currently touring the United States to promote his new Cd Chariot Stripped-an acoustic version of Chariot. |
