Mission and Purpose Statement

The Reserve Officer's Association is a professional association representing all officer's of the seven United States Uniformed Services.

Chartered by Congress, the objective and purpose of the Reserve Officer's Association shall be to support a military policy for the United States that will provide adequate national security and to promote the development and execution thereof. Public Law 595-81st Congress Approved 30 June 1950.


Georgia Department Events

Executive Committee Meetings

The Georgia Department meets quarterly as an EXCOM (Executive Committee) to transact department business. The Georgia Department has an annual meeting in April/May at which officers are elected. Members of Congress and General Officers are invited to speak at the annual meeting. The Georgia Department also holds an annual meeting in conjunction with the State conference.

The next quarterly EXCOM meeting will be announced in the near future.

The next annual Department Convention will be held in a location TBA in April 2004.

Local Chapter Meetings

Local chapter activity consists of luncheon meetings with speakers. Any active ROA member is invited to attend the EXCOM meetings. All chapters should be represented at the meetings since they have a vote on the EXCOM.

The Greater Atlanta Chapter 25, holds a bi-monthly luncheon meetings. These meetings are held at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant, 3829 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, Georgia. Meetings are held Sep, Nov, Jan, Mar, May & Jul, the next meeting is scheduled for 13 May 04 at 1130. Please RSVP MAJ Andy Alexander NLT 8 May 2004. Flying Tiger Chapter 036, Robins AFB, holds a monthly luncheon meeting based on the availability of speakers at the Robins AFB Officer's club. For more information contact the Chapter President: Col Larry Lee, USAFR, President, Robins ROA Chapter 36, HQ AFRC/LGQM, larry.lee@afrc.af.mil


Local Membership Benefits

Peachstate Patriot

The Peachstate Patriot is published and mailed to all 2400 Department Members prior to the EXCOM meetings to provide a "heads-up" concerning issues for discussion and attendance planning. Executive meetings are held in August, November, January and April. Chapters throughout the State host the meetings.

The deadline to submit articles to the Peachstate Patriot is the 1st day of the month preceding the EXCOM meeting.
