I was born December 1954 in Wichita, Kansas and lived in 5 cities growing up until my parents located in Cleveland, Ohio during my senior year of High School. I graduated from Solon High in 1972 with honors and selected Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) for college.
I earned two undergraduate degrees from Miami University in Economics and Mathematics (1975,1976). I continued at Miami to earn a Masters of Science in Statisitcs (1977).
In 1977 I joined Accenture and for the first 12 years I worked in various industries developing systems strategies and implementing custom and software applications. In 1989 I was admitted to the Partnership and began to specialize in the Telecommunications Industry. In 1999 I was the Managing Partner of the Cincinnati Office. After 25 years at Accenture I left to start my own consulting business - SWG Consulting LLC.
In 2003, I consulted with an exciting company that has invented a new composition of matter. I joined that company in January 2004 - Liquid Crystal Polymers.
As my journey enters the "second half" moving from learning and earning to living and giving - I got involved in 2006 with an new and inspiring Philanthropic organization - Interact for Change - the "Home for Active Giving". So to practice what I preach, I became a founding Partner in Social Venture Partners Cincinnati
