All GammonZealot matches are played in
Tournament 1 Room on the MSN Zone server.

Tournament
Format
|
After 8 Dinner Tournaments - 8 point,
Single Elimination with a 11 point Final. Maximum 32
players or 5 rounds per tournament. More than one
tournament per time slot will be done to accomodate
overflows unless a sub host is required.

League
Format
|
League of Champions will consist
of Tournament Winners from previous month, Hosts
from Previous month and players who have majorly
contributed to the GammonZealot development in the
previous month. 8 League Divisions will be equally determined by
ratings. LoC will consist of 11 point
matches.

League
Playoff Format
|
In
case of ties, head to head competition prevail.
Unplayed wins will be counted as .8 of a win. If
winner still undetermined - round robin play of
9 point matches will be played. Win
/ Loss from the months League Play will determine
the seeding. If
less than 8 players average per division Top Player from each division
will advance with Rounds being 13 pt quarter, 15
point semi
and 17 point final ... if 8 players or more
per division Top
2 Players from each division will
advance with Rounds being 13 points 1st round playoff,
15 pt quarter, 17 point semi
and 19 point final . Effective
Oct 1, 2001. All playoff
players will advance to next months LOC.

Signups
|
Signups will begin 30 minutes before the
scheduled tournament time.
|
Registering
|
Players
will normally be requested to sit at tables 43-48 to
inform the GammonZealot Host that they wish to be
registered. The Host will registered the player by
announcing the players name and Round 1 table
assignment. The nic being shown will be used for
statistics unless the player requests before the start
of tournament that they want stats under a different
nic name. The on duty GammonZealot Host has sole
discretion to admit or not admit players at their
discretion. Exclusion may be based on potentially
offensive player names, past history of disruptive
participation, or other valid reasons in the opinion
of the host in charge.

Multi Tasking
|
Players may not participate in any other
game or match in any other MSN Gaming Zone room while
actively playing their assigned GammonZealot matches. Anyone doing so will forfeit their
GammonZealot match and receive losses for statistic
purposes in the current GammonZealot tournament or
League.
Out of respect to your opponent players should be
ready to play their match in a timely manner, and
avoid disruptions during match play.

Ratings
|
Ratings are determined
using the FIBS Formula. We will also be keeping
win percentages. These Stats will be displayed ASAP on
this website. Ratings for League will be updated
using the Ratings at 11:00 PM of the last day of the
month.
|
Boots
|
A player is considered to be booted when he/she is unable to continue the game play. The player's opponent is expected to give their opponent a minimum of 10 minutes to return from a boot, otherwise will be considered a loss. A player will also be permitted 3 boots less than 10 minutes. The opposing player will be granted a win on the 4th boot.
If the opponent has booted because they are sure to
lose the remaining opponent may post win. If the
opponent returns the host must check and determine if
the match was possible.

Time Limits
|
All GammonZealot matches will be
expected to proceed at a steady flow. Our long format
tournaments are not designed for computer lag. The
GammonZealot Host will determine if unreasonable lag
is being experienced and if a forfeited win/loss will
be issued. Forfeited losses or wins will not be
affected in the rating or win percentage
statistics.

Forfeited
Wins, Losses or Resignations
|
On occassions a Player
may need to resign from Tournament. The resignation
must be between matches. The Host has jurisdiction if
the previous opponent will continue in tournament or
not. A forfeited win or loss is for League Play when
both parties have not made appropriate action to play
scheduled match on time. A Forfeited losses or wins will not be
affected in the rating or win percentage
statistics.

Doubling
|
Auto doubles must be set to: OFF. Doubling is allowed unless the Crawford rule is in effect. The zone program handles this automatically. Please be careful when considering cube action. If you accept a double when you meant to resign, the mistake cannot be undone by the host.

Kibitzing
|
Kibitzing must be left ON; Watchers may be silenced at any time, by either player. It is recommended to turn your ZM to DND to avoid outside distractions. If you feel it is a need to close kibitzing permission must be granted by the GammonZealot Host. The host may grant permission if they feel it is necessary.

Outside
Assistance
|
Match assistance of any kind is not permitted during match play.
|
Disputes
|
Disputes between players shall be
immediately brought to the attention of the GammonZealot
Host. At all times, players shall conduct
themselves in a mature manner within the guidelines of
the Zone Code of Conduct.
|
Reporting of
Wins
|
The winner of the match must reported
immediately to the GammonZealot Host. Players are
expected to use this format: ****** Player A nic //
Player B nic at table # ****** Intentional false
posting is not appropriate and will be disqualified
from the Tournament and may have additional suspension
consequences.
|
Host Authority
|
The GammonZealot Host has full authority
to make any decisions necessary to resolve issues or
problems that occur during the tournament. The
Host's decisions are FINAL for that particular
tournament, and not subject to later reversal.

Zone Code of
Conduct
|
The MSN Gaming zone COC must be adhered
to at all times.
COC violations may result in disqualification from
this league. Please show good
sportsmanship!
