DOING IT FOR TK - KISHITANI GORO REBELS

Finally, the shooting of the Japanese film “Returner” was over. And TK is still very much excited about his winter vacation. Working overseas for a long period of time had always made him feel foreign which kept him imagining things. He laughed jovially and said that he’s a foreigner with no place to call his home. And watching war news on TV made him worry and wonder which side he’ll stand if a war was to break out between China and Japan.  But TK is very positive and unflinching with questions on his emotions. He’s definitely not the type of person who would let untrue reports affect his relationships with his friends.

Last year, TK had rejected more than 40 film scripts and in the end he accepted the “Returner” which was being produced for 5 billion yen. TK plays the role of a future killer and by accident he met the female cast (Suzuki Anne) of the contemporary age including the male cast (Kishitani Goro). And for the very first time doing it for TK, Kishitani Goro willingly accepted the role of a villain.

TK had always been a celebrity shrouded with mystery, he seldom appears, rigids in selecting scripts, was unaffected with harmful reports of his decreasing popularity and continues to reject scripts not of his likes. When he was interviewed by Japan’s “Person” magazine, he indicated that he’s not worried with such matters. He wouldn’t do a job reluctantly if he doesn’t like it neither does he like others to idolize him and looked upon him as a celebrity or superstar. But others just turn their eyes on him which he feels being left with no alternative including his exposure that he doesn’t fond of.

TK doesn’t like interviews and photo shoots. He always has his ways of handling them as if one displays the movement of “Tai Ji Quan”. If everyone thinks that he had lots of mysteries around him and wanted to understand him more, he would often give a philosophic reply, “ Isn’t life full of mysteries?” If asked whether he had blew his temper at the filming site, he answered, “Well! I do and sometimes I don’t. My moods and temperaments changes with weather.”

Just past his 28th year birthday, TK is not considering to marry and have children at the present stage. What he wanted most was to learn and because there are so many places he hasn’t been to, he wants to see more of Mother Nature. He said jokingly, “I might go to Arabia and take a look at their country, then bring back lots of brides.”   ~ end

Note

Tai Ji Quan is actually a martial arts using slow yet swift and gentle strokes and motion to repel enemies.
