Author's notes and comments: When I started The Gem of the Stars a while back... more than a while back, I don't think I knew what I was getting into (Frankly, none of us did, not even Kayin, the first person to read my first fanfic ever). Okay, so I thought I'd just write a little something where an original character who'd been floating around in my brain could fit in... but I never thought I'd end up writing an Akazukin Cha Cha epic. A lot has changed since then -- I guess enough would change over the span of a year or so to keep me busy -- and my plot, character development, and writing style have changed with me.

Parts 1 and 2 may seem a little elementary, for I wrote them in the span of a few hours more than a year ago, and part 3 not very up-to-current-standards, since I wrote it a few weeks after I did parts 1 and 2. The mentioned parts were not really thought out and I wasn't paying that much attention to the plot. Part 4, however, was written much more carefully, since I found out -- too late, it turned out -- that my manageable little fic had a mind of its own and gotten blown up into an epic of huge proportions. I think it's partly because of my bringing such themes as Darkness and Light into the fic.

I'm not complaining about GOS' status, though; as far as I know GOS is the first ACC epic of such "magnitude", and it's earned me a section at Mochi-mochi Mountain *smile*. Not to mention the fact that it was mainly behind the confidence in creating an ACC eGroup with my friend. GOS is unique in its class, and needless to say I'm very proud of it ^_^

I hope you enjoy The Gem of the Stars as much as I enjoyed writing it and the fics that grew from my added confidence in my writing. Maybe, hopefully, I'll be able to finish it well. When I do, I'll turn to my other fanfics and finish them, too... and after that?

I don't know. Not yet.

Anyway, here's hoping that you'll feel the magic and fantasy I poured into The Gem of the Stars, and share it with others in the world of Akazukin Cha Cha.
