The Love Fruit

Chapter 1-- The Legendary Love Tree

"KABOOM!!!" A loud explosion rocked from inside Seravi's cottage.

Seravi, who was watching TV: "Blast it! My TV's blown… I knew I shouldn't have flicked the channels too quickly. Sigh! Now I have to find some other means of entertainment. It's really is hard to entertain myself when Dorothy's out shopping… I have no one to fight with… a great way to while time away and for me practice magic. DOROTHY! Where are you when I need you?!" He sweatdropped. "I don't think she can hear me even if I continue shouting like an idiot." Then he had an idea.

"I know, I watch the gang with my crystal ball, my very own "special" TV."

He took out his crystal ball. Seravi: "Ok Crystal Ball, show me something interesting."

A vague image began to form, and Seravi saw a black cloak… "Yakko!" he said and continued to watch the happenings through his crystal ball.

Yakko: "At last, I found it, the legendary love tree!" Yakko had been climbing several hills. Finally she has a found her objective, the love tree. With her sack ready, she stands in front of her goal. "This is my ticket to marry my gorgeous Prince Seravi! This legendary tree bears fruit once every 200 years. The red, heart-shaped fruit is sweet and has the power to make the people fall in love with each other. All I have to do is let Seravi share a fruit with me and he'll fall deeply in love with me. Hee Hee Hee! I'm such a genius. I'm going to concoct a potent love potion from this fruit for my darling Prince. "

Seravi (watching the crystal ball): "Thank god I've been pre-warned."

Yakko proceeded to pick all the love fruit from the tree. She fills up her sack, and merrily goes on her way. Little did she know that the sack had a hole and the love fruit were spilling out of the sack as she walked her way home.

Riya: "Did you smell that?"

Shiine: "Smell what doggie?"

Riya: "Cut it out Shiine! Did you smell it?"

Cha Cha: "What do you smell Riya?"

Riya: "I don't know, something sweet I think."

Shiine: "Yes I smell it now, I think it's fruit!"

Riya: "I'm hungry! How about you Cha Cha? Why don't we go get some fruit?"

Cha Cha: "That sounds great! Let's go! Riya you lead the way."

So the trio make their way to Yakko's trail of fruit following Riya's sense of smell.

"FRUIT!" yelled Riya, and pounce on the first one he saw. By the time Cha Cha reached the ground, Riya had already gobbled up several of the fruit.

Riya: "Cha Cha! This taste's great! It's sweet like honey. Try one for yourself!"

Cha Cha: "Okay!"

Shiine: "Hey leave some for me!"

Shiine reached the ground a few seconds too late.

Shiine: "My broom malfunctioned."

There was only one fruit left, Riya had eaten the rest.

Riya: "That was good. Cha Cha you still haven't eaten your fruit."

Cha Cha: "Well, I thought I would wait for Shiine."

Shiine: "Why thank you Cha Cha."

Riya: "Forget Shiine. Eat the fruit."

Cha Cha: "But it won't be fair to Shiine. Since there are no more left, I share my fruit with you

Shiine."

Shiine: "You're too kind Cha Cha."

Riya: "Suit yourself, but you both won't get to enjoy the fruit as much as I did."

So Cha Cha broke her fruit into halves and gave one to Shiine.

The sweet fruit was juicy and it quenched their thirst from their short flight.

Cha Cha: "Boy, that was good. How I wish Riya hadn't eaten that many fruit and left some more…" Suddenly this strange feeling swept over her.

Cha Cha: "Er… Riya can you excuse me and Shiine for a while, I'd like to tell him something."

Riya: "Huh? Why Cha Cha? Can't you tell him that something in front of me? We're always

together."

Cha Cha: "I know Riya, but this something is a bit special, let me be."

Riya: "Fine!" Riya sounded strong, but he actually breaking down inside.

Riya ran over to a nearby stream, and stared at his reflection in the water. "Is there something wrong with me today?" he thought staring at the reflection of a white wolf in the water. His tears made ripples in the water, ruining the reflection. "This is the first time Cha Cha told me to go away…"

"There you are you mangy mongrel!" yelled a voice. Riya turned and saw Yakko. "Yakko…" he said. "You did it! I saw you!" accused Yakko.
