Sammy and I met at a dance club in Tysons Corner, Virginia. I was with a friend that knew Sammy's friend, and we happened to be there on a Thursday night, which was latin night. My friend went to dance with Sammy's friend and since I was left alone and so was he, I came over to ask him to dance, he refused at first but I couldn't take a no for an answer, it's embarrassing, so I took him out and we danced all night. He said you have a nice smile, as shy as he was, he was just as charming. After that night we kept meeting there every thrusday night. We danced together all the time, learning and improving everytime. After about 3 weeks of just dancing, he asked me out for a date and we went to a salsa concert at the convention center in DC. We had lots of fun and I started meeting a few members of his family, like Titi Lydia and her husband.

But our love has not been based only on the way we met, we share a very special kind of love that it's sometimes hard to understand for some people. We enjoy one another's company and we love to do things together all the time. I learned "a little bit" of the game of football, Sammy's favorite sport and he apreciates my love for art. Among other things.
