| MARKED ANGEL: A Tribute To Our Beloved Daughter By Joanna Espina (Gabby's Mommy) So clear in our minds can we still remember The moments of joy on that 3rd day of September You finally blessed us with your presence Like a light that shined with such resonance I remember staring into your beautiful eyes And pinching the rolls on your arms and your thighs Your skin so pink and your hair shiny and dark The white dots on your nose, and then your birthmark All who had seen you were so quick to state “Why would God put such a mark on your face?” Thinking of you now in somber reflection We truly realize the depth of your perfection You gave Mommy some of the best moments she’s ever had You showed Daddy that having another girl wasn’t so bad You taught Gennesys how to be a loving sister You’ve got your family saying “Oh God how I miss her” We still don’t understand why you were taken away After such a short but memorable stay It’s so hard for us to accept and get through The fact that God has other plans for you Or maybe up in Heaven during an angel head count He noticed one was missing and proceeded to look down “Where on Earth has my missing angel fell? I’m looking for her, they call her Gabryelle I need her back so I can send her once more To bless another family like I’ve done so before To ease the difficulty in my search for her I’ve distinguished each angel from one another To tell Gabby apart from other passers-by I have put a special mark by her eye” So I guess he found you, and though our sorrow is great We understand He had to take you back to His place Your loved ones will be left with your memories To keep your spirit alive while your body is deceased We may question God and think He is wrong But we’ll remember that our faith in Him is strong We miss and love you so much, may you rest in peace Our pretty princess, our marked angel Gabryelle Jennise… We miss and love you so much Gabby... not a day goes by that we don't think of you... we know that you are up in heaven watching over us, you're presence there just made the place more beautiful to view. You will never ever be forgotten or replaced.
