Georgia, Franklin County - This indenture made this 15th
day of April 1828 between Thomas King and Richard Chandler both of the
County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Thomas King
for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen dollars in hand paid the
receipt whereof is herby acknowledgeed hath granted bargained and sold
unto Richard Chandler all that tract of land containing nine hundred and
fifty acres be the same more or less at being an undivided.......or one
fourth part of a tract of thirty eight hundred acres originally granted
to Richard Call and sold by the sheriff of said county as the property
of said Call and conveyed by the said Sheriff to Thomas Carr for deeds
bearing the date 1st January 1802 and the Executors of said Carr to James
Reed and by the said James Reed to Thomas King which said tract of seven?(nine)
hundred and fifty acres of land as aforesaid situate on the waters of Broad
River a referance to the platt of said survey for Richard Call will more
fully appear to have and to hold the said tract of land together with all
and singular the rights members and appertenances thereunto belonging forever
and the said Thomas King against himself his heirs assigns unto the said
Richard Chandler his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend
in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 15th day
of April 1828
