Georgia, Franklin County - This Indenture made 18th day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and nineteen between Richard Chandler of Franklin County and State of Georgia of the one part and James O'Grady of the other - Witnesseth that the aforesaid Richard Chandler as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said James O'Grady on or before the signing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day Bargained and sold and od by these presents bargain and sell unto the aforesaid James O'Grady all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of Bear Creek containing one hundred acres more or less being the place whereon the said Isaac D. Albritton now lives lying on the west side of said creek being part of a tract of land originally granted to Thomas Harrington running thence N 60 W to a pine corner, thence 5.30.W.49 chains to a pine corner thence S.60.E. to a white oak corner on said creek, thence down the meanders of said creek to the beginning corner also one other tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres more or less originally granted to Samuel Phillips beginning on a pine corner running N.30.E.60 to a post oak corner, thence N.60.W.18 to a post oak corner, thence S.30W.50.00 to a hickory corner thence S.60.E.11.00 to a post oak corner thence S.30W.10.00 to a pine corner thence S60E.7.00 to the beginning corner together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto of each tract, a laying and all the profits rents issues.... unto the said James O'Grady his heirs and assigns in .....simple and I Richard Chandler will forever warrant and defend the premises aforesaid to the said James O'Grady from all lawful rights or claims in witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this day and date above written.
