A small cafe in an old converted gas station.  Art by local artists hanging in windows and on walls.  Seems like a place out of the late 60s - early 70s, but it only opened a few years ago.  Sandwiches, soups, etc.  Live music by local acoustic musicians some evenings.  Patio open in summer

Peace-nick bumper stickers and stuff.  Tie-dyes, save the rainforest shirts, Grateful Dead things.  Beaded jewelry, etc.  Flower child knick-knacks.
Gilgal Garden

Between 700 and 800 East in SLC
Entrance on North side of 500 South

Save Gilgal Gardens!  An old, funky (to say the least) sculpture garden park, hidden in the middle of a block.  A very unique place built early in the 20th century by a Mormon mystic.  Must see to appreciate.  Behind the surplus bakery and across the street from Trolley Corners.
Note: very limited hours. P.S.: donations needed.  Stay tuned for links.
